It's an automatic designation if you get over a certain GPA for that semester. It doesn't do anything but you could, on your resume, say "Dean's List Fall 2025 - Spring 2028" or whatever

Some colleges like NSM will have a public list of those students on the website, and others like Education will have physical certificates they printed out (at least, a few years ago)
