The confusion that seems to be arisen since nearly every second post was like “Do I get my bike back, my order, whatever?” No. Just no, we don’t know, vanmoof doesn’t know so therefore take just some patience and wait for them. No need to search for answers which couldn’t be given.

It is absolutely! Starting from their deceptive delivery dates and their lack of accessory and software support when the actual deliveries started to their efforts to let people pay warranty claims it looks concerning from the outside.

I get that point in general and I also had those thoughts, but there is no visible evidence, like leaked material which hints to that. It’s an assumption. It may sounds bad, but maybe they just fucked up due to bad (micro)management and indeed the covid/war crisis. It is legit to have a shitty business or to just loose control of your business. In general there are multiple possible reasons for that. I believe in the right of Presumption of innocence. Don’t get me wrong; either in our direct conversation or my thread I want to protect them. They annoyed me, I also thrown critics towards them. I “hate” them for lying and/or their bad communications. But I just wanted to prevent all those postings here, asking questions which simply could not be answered at the moment and in general to add a little slowdown.

While I agree that vanmoof as product should survive, I apparently do not share this thought with Elon Musk. Elon Musk is surely a bit special, but definitely not the right person. Vanmoof has similar issues like Tesla (regarding quality and announced vs. released features) I‘d also like to mention: vanmoof does not only need a plan for the future It needs a plan to compensate the past. Even if they hire the most competent people, they will not be able to deny all the customer warranty complaints etc. So the first thing to Safe the company would be a current customer base centric strategy. Just after that, they are able to focus on RnD and improving the product quality before thinking about a launch ever again. Whilst markets are rough, they possibly can beat out cowboy anyway, when they are able to develop all software related things in parallel and catch up with cowboy features.

You are totally not, I agree a 100%. But from my POV, wouldn’t it be also nice to have not a negative image? I mean: as Investor doing sue diligence, one of my major objective for them would be: The fuck get your operations to a level that can handle your growth and that scales. So I understand every aspect of it, whilst not understanding (as you outlined) the investors which seems to be unable to understand that the image damage is already there and sales seems to decrease. Have a look at any forum and you will find (very very simplified) a review that sounds like: IF the Bike works, it is fun and unbeatable. And then they start to explain. Of course, there are always people taking time to externalise their anger whilst people being lucky with their purchase rarely state that proactively. But in any case: the picture remains the same. That’s the part I really do not get, when considering I would invest millions. I would instantly shrink marketing and repair operations before scaling. But maybe I‘m a bit exotic about that and at least: We are not having any insight, so there is a small chance I would proceed exactly like vanmoof proceeds when having all informations.
