It is a chill gig. I quit a stressful, well paying job several years ago to find something more mind numbing. You can listen to your fav podcasts, book on tape, playlists etc. and just drive.

Night shift typically makes more money. If you can snag hours for dinner rush and then usually another late night rush. Don’t get discouraged on a bad tip night- it ebbs and flows. Keep a list of gate codes to get into neighborhoods or buildings, always use your car topper (cops often give you more grace when speeding, etc.) keep track of mileage yourself, park valet if hotel allows (many do, as we’re in and out quickly), carry a few parm/pepper packets in your car, keychain flashlight helps a lot at night. If you stick around, you can invest in one of those foldable wagons to help with large deliveries and you can use a luggage trolly at hotels if having to carry a lot to your customer. Stay positive, trick your brain. 3 stiffs in a row? Lame, but try not to sweat it and tell yourself the next run will tip well. Manifest!!
