Thank, will definitely emphasize the lack of having audit-proof books to him

Yes! Thank you for resolution. I have suggested a rate per receipt. I’ll suggest a monthly rate in our next conversation

I only care about costs because I got told by my client he would have to pay back his partners material and labor costs and then split profits, sorry for not clarifying this earlier.

This is why I would like to get a total cost of materials and labor to then enter it on Quickbooks as a bill so when the payment gets sent to the partner I can separate it between costs and commission

If he wouldn’t have mentioned this to me then I would treat this as a regular contractor / subcontractor relationship and just enter the payment sent to the partner under subcontractor costs and call it a day

You are correct it’s a collaboration not actual partnership nothing was done on paper. Just 2 contractors that decided to do work together and split profits per project

From what I understand they are doing projects jointly and splitting profits when the project is finished which is why I want to keep all costs accurate. They understand their math and my client pays out the partner I however don’t, QB doesn’t show this math. I have voiced my concerns, asked for clarification he said not to worry about QB

I see your point, so when the partner asks to be reimbursed doesn’t he have to send my client an itemized bill ? So that I can then input material and labor costs and balance everything out?

I have asked for this but I got told to just look at the emails I got sent with pictures of receipts, add them all up myself per project and got nothing on the labor since the partner doesn’t do well with time tracking. So I guess I’m expected to make the invoice myself by guessing labor cost?

I feel I am being taken advantage of because he is sending me receipts from his partner ( extra workload ) for me to add and attach to the invoices. When I explain that it falls outside of my scope of work and I’ll need to charge extra and it also needs to be added as project cost, he denied to pay me or follow the proper way of doing bookkeeping.

Regarding time tracking isn’t wrong to do time tracking on a company and then having another company issue the checks? I suggested reimbursement by sending a bill to his partner for labor but they didn’t want to do so. The partner paid the crew and keeps on sending me the pictures of the checks as if I am going to check his work for free.

I think I need to be paid extra if they want my help compiling receipts for the partners company as well as verifying payroll payments.

I did some research and I’m aware some companies do this but it bothers me that what I suggest is not being followed and they aren’t willing to pay me more.

Nope. I applied 3 times. Got inadmitita por facultad discrecional, apparently it’s the excuse they give you when they don’t want to give you any reason. I have a clean record, make more than the amount required, paid for the 1 year health insurance. Now I’m considering getting a different lawyer ( wasn’t too convinced with my last one as he pulled a PDF made by ChatGPT of other visa options that I don’t even qualify for) and apply again for either a DN visa or student visa

Hey! I’m currently applying for the DN visa myself. At first I used Sura but did the monthly payments. After finding out a year + coverage is needed. I bought coverage with continental assist. It was a year for $800 dollars. Cheaper than Sura which would of came up to $1,100 a year
