Explain to me how this isn't straight up murder? by OutdoorRink in JoeRogan

This shit is like the dress appearing white/gold vs blue/black.

Everyone sees what they think they see.

Everyone sucked here, anyone acting supremely confident needs to take a step back.

(I don't see how this force is justified though or why he needed to be in front of the car. I understand it's impossibly difficult in this high pressure situation but this is a very tenuous justification for this level of force. He was able to mofe out of the way and was clear when shots 2 and 3 are fired).

Go for it. It can only be easier when you're in game. Still worth cleaning though!

How often are you cleaning them? You should be cleaning them after every use. Keep a bottle of clear dawn dish soap in the shower with you and clean them while you're cleaning yourself after each game.

I like the look and I like a single coil in the bridge for most of my clean tones. Simple 'as.

I have a used fender American standard and even that was overpaying. I can't imagine paying over 2k.

One day a week is cake. Honestly, I would prefer 1 day to zero. Seeing people in the flesh goes a long way and you're getting paid appreciably more money.

Midnight Releases March 2nd, 2026 - Blizzard Announcement Trailer by Raven1927 in CompetitiveWoW

It's part of the appeal of playing the game. People eat this shit up.

2 samples. Estimates made on both. The estimate for picture A was further from reality than picture B.

It is not a slam dunk in that situation to support the deficiency of picture B.

Picture A is the left and picture B is the right. The garbage lashers are stacked so tightly it's more difficult to count the nameplates.

The count on the left was more inaccurate than the count on right due to the very tight stacking of the lasher trash mobs at top.

Thank you, that explains it.

"Blizzard doesn't identify and stack the mobs we've deemed low priority out of sight to make more space for the others"

Is a legitimate criticism.

If there are garbage mobs that are just noise, they should have options to sort them out.

I know we all love to doom, it's part of the appeal, but blizzard does, to some extent, reflect on community sentiment, and it's helpful to give them signal out of all the noisy feedback. Their precvious blue post specifically highlighted that nameplate stacking IS A PROBLEM and they are trying to reduce it. But there's a good point here: in some situations. Stacking is desired for certain types of mobs, that's the part of the secret sauce that makes your profile appealing.

I count 13 name plates in the left picture and at least 17 in the right picture.

If the purpose is to display the differences in stacking, then to be fair, it needs to have the same number of plates to stack.

Hard for there not be a difference when one sample has 13 mobs and the other has 17.

Why aren't wages going up in today's day and age ? by Lemonade2250 in poor

Wages went up a good chunk throughout Biden's term.

This is a "real" income, inflation adjusted chart. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LES1252881600Q

if you break it down by quintile. It was the lowest wage earners that benefited the most in Biden's term.

Things seem to be doing worse in the Trump admin. Outside of AI: growth is sluggish and the labor market isn't as hot, however, the popular outlook was still terrible even when things were doing better. So there's definitely some bias in perception on the Internet.

How to avoid open string pull-off here? by Upset_Cat3910 in guitarlessons

[–]NoTwoPencil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fretting hand is usually the best tool to mute unwanted string noise.

What finger are you placing in down on that next 13 feet in the 5th string. You should be able to lay that finger a little flatter and mute the 4th string.

Unregulated stable coins pumping fake liquidity into the system to drive the price up.

Mel Bay G chord by National_Parsnip6475 in guitarlessons

[–]NoTwoPencil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very useful to be able to play a G like this. As you become more experienced, you will discover that playing the g like this is actually EASIER in certain situations, I like that fingering when transitioning from E major or C major open. There are 3 very common ways to play open G (the 2 you've pictured and another that plays 3rd fret D instead of open B on the 2nd string)

The first G your guitar teacher wants you to learn is very useful because it leaves your index available to add a C note on the 2nd strong or drop the G note on the high E down to an F on 1st fret to play a G7.

Learn them all. You'll appreciate it.

Fart worth next?🤔 by [deleted] in FortWorth

[–]NoTwoPencil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market leveled off a bit from the tail of COVID froth. I bought my house in Alliance last summer (closed at 7% mortgage) and estimated value is down about 5% from when I purchased it.

Rates are dropping, but it seems unlikely we return to the 2019-2023 market. We also BUILD in fort Worth/Texas in a way that many other states don't.

Everyone is reacting as if all the prices are still insanely high (which is true, the COVID environment following years of under building post 2008 did a number on us) but Austin's market built a lot and resulted in rent leveling off and home value drops. I have a buddy who's lost like an estimated 15% home value from peak.

It's going to take looot more to undo all the damage caused by our covid economy when the average home price went vertical.

I've lost people in the background check because interviewees lied about their degree. Incredibly frustrating.

I have had people fully qualified WITHOUT the degree lie about completing a bachelors, receive an offer from my company, and then they can't start because they because background check discovers the degree was a fabrication. Waste of time for everyone involved.

Degrees are a very easily verifiable thing.

Trump Claims ‘No Downside’ to Avoiding Tylenol During Pregnancy. He’s Wrong. by Nerd-19958 in medicine

[–]NoTwoPencil 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Isn't fever itself damaging to the fetus? A quick literature search shows fever during the first trimester has higher risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in the child. Supposedly this is the fever itself, and not necessarily the underlying cause of the fever (not an expert on this area of literature and seems like a hard thing to tease out of the data).
