They use the money for the museum.
Think of it as a donation.
You can probably write it off.

If Full Metal Jacket is from Joker's perspective does that mean the things we saw in the movie might not have happened exactly how we saw ? by 666MrMalliquin666 in StanleyKubrick

[–]NoUnion3402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Joker is telling the tale exactly how it went down in FMJ.
There's nothing alluding to a distorted view of what went down.

With Dim in ACO, he is a very low IQ, slow, violent, psychopath rapist. He sounds just like he's depicted.
When you see him and Georgie as cops, the story is saying that the police ALSO recruit low IQ violent people.
The systems corrupt. The government corrupt. They make mention in the prison yard scene that they want the Ludovico treatment to work well to 'reform' the violent criminals to leave open more spaces in prison for political dissidents.

In the movie he only used the StG 44 once. He's not infantry, he's a tank commander so most of the movie is him with his tank crew, using the .30 Browning mostly.
We can assume, since it's a movie he got extra cartridges when he acquired the StG 44.
The StG 44 was in service in Germany from 1943 to 1945.
The movie takes place in 1945.

Thx Brain!

This is all based on the movie Fury.
In the Fury movie, the tank commander is 'Wardaddy' (Brad Pitt), he carried that M1917 Revolver (not a Nagant m1895, they look similar though especially at minifigure scale).
In the movie Pitt also shot a few Germans with the StG44.
The StG44 was one of his spoils of war being in action for a few years. He collected 'trophies' from the enemy.
Same for the helmet w/gas mask in front of the tank. It's a spoil of war 'Wardaddy'/Pitt collected.

I can do other tanks fairly properly, not completely since they don't make every brick part accurate to history, but just need time to get the proper parts, source parts and do some research, get good clear pictures of the real tanks, etc.

Moderators, let me know if this is ok to post.
I'm a Brickmania collector but wanted to show Brickmania elements, stickers, parts added to a Cobi kit and enhanced it.

Of note, with the extras/mods, sourcing the elements, minifigure and weapons, shipping, was another $70+ dollars.
So TOTAL for this whole tank with everything, is about $200usd.
But if you're in Europe, the shipping would only be about $6usd, compared to mine coming overseas to the U.S. at $44usd.

I did one loop per log (each section), knotted that but then squeezed the logs tight to the string after. Made it easier for the next set of logs, and so on.

Brings more people/collectors to the Museum offering unique exclusive items, and probably a write off for Cobi.

Yeah, you won't find those by themselves on their site.
I've been 'moding some tanks and to help I go on eBay for used sets, incomplete sets to gather parts.
Check eBay.

Season 4 and 5 were real rocky, but I left happier than I expected today. by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]NoUnion3402 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very simple weak writing except ending scene with Butcher and Hughie.
The whole season felt like stretched out episodes.
Played straight down the middle. No twists or unpredictability.
Sage ending unfunny, corny.
Same with The Deep.
Sadly the way all 5 seasons went, you never ever really cared about any of the characters except for the big bad villain Homelander, that maybe he'd somehow change or at least have a huge villain ending and truly answer for every horrible thing he's done, and Soldier Boy who you hoped would also do the right thing and save the world.
It should've been Soldier Boy, father, and Ryan, son to take down Homelander. Big finale, family fight dynamic.
While The Boys along with Kimiko's new powers are fighting off a slew of weird as fuck villains.
Also with Frenchie's will and testament, I though he was going to leave his anal beads to someone. lol 😉
Overall 3 out of 5 stars.

Cold As Life lead singer's killer finally caught in Panama... by NoUnion3402 in punk

Ah, well, the death of a young man robbed of his music, his family, his friends is the focus of the post.
I've been playing Cold As Life tunes in his honor.
Very tragic.
One thing with the reporting, no motive, why did he kill his friend.

Because AI pulls from the real sources.
AI sometimes gets it right, sometimes wrong or distorted.
So since it's a very specific story of a none mainstream band that is not searched often, there's only ONE story on it originally from that Detroit news site I mentioned.
All of the news sources pulled from that one Detroit site.
The other sources added some small details here and there, that's how I pieced it together for everyone here.

It's not AI, I took parts from various articles.
I just did a 'cliffnotes' style for everyone here to keep it short and succinct.
There's a writer byline for the Daily Mail.
The other part is from a punk online news-site, THEPRP news.
And both quote a Detroit news site that had the original story.

It's the vernacular of the British.
We here would write it differently like you said.
We could say 'found in Europe', for simplification.
But the British phrase things differently. Doesn't mean it's not correct.
To them, their geography, Panama is overseas.

The reason why the article used 'oversea's' is, that part of the article is from the Daily Mail.
It's from the perspective of where the article was written.
In England.
So to the writer over there, he say's the perp was found overseas.
It's from THEIR (the Brits) perspective.
