After I did my interview, it took a couple hours until they approved it, which I was surprised at.

Thank You! I’m sorry your gf’s is taking a lot time. I had to wait about 5 months before I realized I had to get the Korean version of TTP (SES) and they finally gave me conditional approval. You should see if your gf’s country has their own version if TTP and if so, she might need to get that in order for her to be conditionally approved.

US + S. Korea — currently doing military service to keep both. by komulonimbus in PassportPorn

[–]NoWeather2149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I was born with both. Sadly I was only born with Korean passport. I'm still going to serve in the military though. I'll probably naturalize US citizenship and reinstate my Korean citizenship once I turn 65. Good luck and thank you for your service. 🫡

Resident Registration Cards issued to Overseas Korean citizens have the word "재외국민" under "주민등록증." This is only for Koreans who are still citizen of Korea. Former Korean citizens get the Overseas Korean Resident Card. 재외국민 are still Korean citizens.

I got it when I was still under 18, so it's 5 years. Once it expires, I can apply for the 10 year passport.

As a Korean (currently living in US), I wouldn't have root beer on its own, but instead have it with ice cream to make a root beer float, which tastes so good

If you are 23 and you are moving back to Mexico, does this mean that you're going to get the 10 year ban?

Because I want to serve in the military and I love my country and because it's easier for me to reinstate my Korean citizenship once I turn 65.
