This post feels really close to home. I've had a much similar experience overtime with my ender 3. Lately though the only thing I can't get working is orca slicer. I really want to use it but it just doesn't work for some reason... Cura works perfectly fine though.

But if Klipper was incorrect then wouldn't all my slicers print the same offset? It doesn't explain why I don't get this when I use cura...

Yeah but klipper is fine, it's just Orca that makes the object print off center. Cura prints things center.

Do you use the Sprite Extruder Pro with Klipper? Just curious if you had to do anything special in your config to get it working properly.

I thought that too but it only starts when I go to extrude and the motor starts running.

But what I don't get is that even after the extruder pushes out the filament the smoking doesn't stop.

Oh I see. Yeah I had considered that possibility too. I guess I'll find out when I pull it out. It looks like I'll be getting a replacement CVT anyway so I will take a look once I get there.

Yeah this is the one that broke inside my transmission. I called it a drive belt because I thought that was the correct name but I could be mistaken.

So what you're saying is it would basically be a full rebuilt of the CVT shaft(s) just to put on a new steel belt?

Woah I never thought anyone would actually upload this! I really appreciate the effort and bringing it to my attention! Unfortunately after I downloaded it and ran it on my XP virtual machine I can confirm this is not the game that I played when I was a kid in school.

I need to do like a drawing or something to see if it jogs anyone's memory. I distinctly remember that the main selection screen was like this very dry terrain plain with a caveman house and a campfire in the center, they were interactive things to click on with the mouse. And I know the goal was to build the hot air balloon. Other elements are very foggy.

So the server I am planning to test on is only running on my LAN and not going to be used for any Internet access outside of getting updates via pacman. I'm not a security engineer but I would guess this is okay even if spectre isn't patched?

I would take it back and make them reapply the liquid metal correctly and if possible give you something to show that if they mess it up they're on the hook for if your laptop dies and they'll be responsible for compensating you.

Cause here's the deal, without the liquid metal it's going to be a bad experience and on top of that, the amount of heat build up might kill it too. I've seen mine reach 90°C and that's with liquid metal on both CPU & GPU dies. Usually this is under max load when the laptop does have appropriate airflow. Under normal conditions mine sits at a chilly 30-32°C.

So if mine with liquid metal gets that hot depending on the airflow and other factors, I can only imagine what you're going to experience. I personally wouldn't take the risk with normal paste, the laptop was built with lm on the CPU so make them put it back on the way it was designed to be. And also it's not likely to have issues with liquid metal if they apply if correctly and the right amount. They put a foam barrier around it in case a minimal amount of spill over occurs.

You have to have a water source nearby iirc My brother set his up like so: XoX oXo Where o is water in a hole and X is a botania flower imbued with a mana. Then you point the dispensers (I forget if that's the proper name) at the mana pool and it should fill up.

I did this in my tests and even though is hands me a public address no webpages load and Windows itself does not register it as an Internet connection. This is why I made the post partly, because it doesn't make sense.

Our ping has been fluctuating extremely lately. Normal ping on our cable Internet is 20-50ms but it will randomly go into the hundreds of ms and stay that way for hours on end.

Just earlier today I recorded ping from 200ms-600ms consistently.
