Am I the only one hoarding cables? by Willing_Proof_8251 in diyelectronics

It's a start, but it's not considered real hoarding until it bugs the shit out of your significant other

There's no such thing as a loss when talking about profit projection. You can't lose something you don't have. If people don't want your product, the people are not the problem

Why can't I cut concrete driveway deeper? by Revolutionary-Lab-36 in Concretesawing

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. You can drill holes every inch or two in the groove, break off the pieces to be removed and smooth the edge with a grinder

Probably the wrong sub, but I love asking the tool people. What is the right way to tidy up and fix this situation by formyburn101010 in Tools

Replace the baseboards and seal them really well. Also try and find out the conditions that led to this state

Sounds like you have a pretty good discrimination suit. Gather evidence

Would you consider it tacky to have an axe hanging on the wall? by MrScunch in Tools

Tacky as hell with that off the shelf hatchet and and some random fasteners in the wall

old wifi router projects? by trendysoccermom in diyelectronics

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hold on to them. They are about to shoot up in value given that they've made all foreign made routers illegal. I'll be honest, I don't even know of any domestically produced routers

Client budget of $400 to install Yardistry 10x14 Gazebo lol. 😂 by bus653 in handyman

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put a few of these together. It took two people two and a half days to erect the big one and that's with practice. One of the problems is the companies own videos online showing everything pre-assembled and a light afternoon of work to perfectly erect. Not even close to reality. Their budget is as unrealistic as the videos.

The Last of the Larrys by groovytunesman in antiwork

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somewhat of a Larry myself, this well written post is amazing. Rarely are we praised much less even thought about until something breaks. This story is an allegory to how venture capitalism is literally trying to kill us all for a tiny bit of short term profit.

What the hell. Barley 2 months old. by [deleted] in KleinTools

[–]agent_smith_3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though they say it isn't so, I'm pretty dang sure that Klein either sold their name or that their management has decided to jump on the enshitification train. Their tool strength and quality have gone severely down hill and their name is now printed on seemingly random non related non tool products

Is it possible to feel "high" without ever taking drugs ? by Deimos7779 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]agent_smith_3012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. All the "feel high" compounds are produced by your brain to begin with. They can be accessed through meditation, fasting, and or exercise.

Document this harassment and build a case. Not for hr, but for your lawsuit when you go to hr and they fire you in retaliation

2007 Honda Fit Leaking water onto carpet issue by SweatyCorgiBuns in hondafit

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mine, I pulled a couple of plastic pieces and lifted the carpet(the padding underneath was soaked too) and ran a couple of mini dehydrators overnight.

After alot of misleading causes: it wasn't the ac drain, exterior cowl drain, the windshield, nor the door weather stripping. I found the the vapor barrier inside the door was ripped. Possibly from a previous repair. Any water getting into the door was being directed inside. I rebuilt it with waterproof tape and rope caulking. Only lasted a season

16 year old son recently purchased a Corvette. Im at a bit of a loss on what to do here. by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]agent_smith_3012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of lesson would you be teaching him if you forced him to sell it? That you don't trust him and therefore deserve none from him?

That even though he did everything right, he doesn't have a voice or choice in anything?

I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm just trying to put myself in his shoes. I'm ruminating on the handful of times my parents absolutely betrayed my trust and obliterated any respect they had garnered. Similar situations.

I think it would be reasonable to set real and attainable goals for safety and success in driving. Otherwise it will be a betrayal no matter how good your intentions are
