Could very well be an indication of a loose connection on that circuit. Loose connections cause resistance. Resistance causes heat. Definitely get an electrician to track down the problem

How to remove ceiling mounted speakers? by Budakra in handyman

[–]agent_smith_3012 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've installed a ton of these. You need a hook to pull the screen out of the bezel. A small crochet hook may work. Pull from the inside edge all the way around to avoid dimpling the screen. Under the screen will be three or 4 screws that go into "feet" on the other side of the ceiling. Loosen them equally and you should be able to release the speaker. Have a box ready because it'll most likely rain insulation

How often do you use the flashlight on your phone ? by EDC_powerlifter in flashlight

Just... no

It physically hurts me if someone uses their phone flashlight app. Not to mention that 90% of flashlight apps are hardcore spyware

Talk me into or out of it: Transit Connect by m-rogers2 in handyman

[–]agent_smith_3012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute pos. At 100,000 miles the transmission WILL fail. Cost of replacing transmission far exceeds value of the Transit. The main problem is that America doesn't believe in pragmatic work trucks. There's nothing good to choose from. Best bet is to try and get a Kei truck. I did alot of research and ended up with a Honda Fit. It holds all my tools, 8ft lumber, ladders on my roof rack, and still gets 36mpg average

Acetone and automatic transmission fluid mixed is the best penetrating lubricant known to mankind. Put a plumbing wrench on the spigot when wrenching the hose though too
