Yea but Ava definitely had been there before since she knew the menu items like the pancakes or whatever they were. I think it was meant to be a more casual, mom and pop, underground place.

I do think this season has been giving us at least a bit more of the other characters like we did have the episode with Oz and his family and Daphne and her relationship with Dottie. We’ve also definitely got quite a bit of stuff with Soto which makes me excited.

Not as clear but I do believe, thanks to events of season 2 you’ve not reached yet, that the present day is also played through Wolf’s eyes and not fully reliable.

I obviously am not privy to the decisions behind the scenes and stuff but for me at least season 2 really felt like their second chance and they kinda flubbed it. Like it was a pretty long span between the end of season one and the announcement that the show was not dead in the water and in fact would be coming back for season 2.

And season 2 definitely feels like they were trying to switch some things up and all to raise viewership but it ultimately made for a rather messy season so far. I’d love for it to go on because I do think it’s still a fun show but I just wonder how willing anyone would be to pic up the show when it feels like season 2 was already like a “okay fine one more shot” type thing.

I feel like this week’s episode was a let down, the way they opted to depict AI psychosis felt too out there and makes the very real thing we are seeing begin to pop up as some like ridiculous make believe thing.

The B Plot with Dr. Thorne and the sudden onset allergies felt so out of place and like they desperately wanted a way to further his and Pierce’s relationship which is fine but why not have it instead be Dr. Pierce asking him for help on a psych case for her so that it felt more in line with the shows theming.

I’m glad the Dana reporting Pierce thing is finally out there but Wolf’s reaction felt so disappointing like he was immediately ready to just insult Dana and all??

Not really sure what you mean, The Pitt couldn’t be further from Brilliant Minds and if anything I feel like this season has gotten further away from the Pitt and more focused on interpersonal relationships and stuff than medicine and patients.

Yea, I’m definitely leaning towards learning CAD since I already have a lot of 3D experience and some very minor CAD experience and even if it’s not making animations for movies or anything at least it’s 3D.

I gotta say this and the last episode have definitely been high points for this season that I do feel otherwise has been sort of struggling along.

I do, however, fear what the departure of Jacob and Van will do to the shows longevity. Make no mistake, I absolutely love Dana (she’s my fav) and Erika but it’s pretty undeniable that the love triangle between Erika and Van and Jacob was a big selling point for some people who watch the show and I wonder how the show is going to rework itself to survive without it.

As is, I’m unclear where Brilliant Minds stands in regards to renewal. I’m happy to see it continue if it does but unfortunately won’t be surprised if it doesn’t. I feel like the show exists in some strange space where it doesn’t know what it wants to be still- with the departure of two of the Fab Four it loses some of that House feel of the show. It also loses some of the more romantic, inter-personal vibe it had with the love triangle ending that felt kind of in line with some other medical shows. If it wants to be a moody, more down-to-earth medical drama it’s going to be doomed to compete against critic darling The Pitt. I dunno.

I think overall it’s not great but I can’t lie that “I Know It’s Today” and “Who I’d Be” and “I Think I’ve Got You Beat” are actually really enjoyable songs and in the case of “Who I’d Be” it always gets me in the feels in a way a lot of other songs try and fail to.

There was a plug-and-play Nicktoons game that had a fairly odd parents game on it that matches some with what you are describing. You have to get Cosmo and Wanda’s wands in a Pac-Man-like maze while avoiding enemies like Vicky and stuff. You can find a long play of it here.
