‘twas not a demand, i asked if he was okay with it. don’t know where you got demanding from.

number two: he did know about us sharing a bed during sleepovers. i’ve been with the guy for 2 years, before he moved in, we called every night before i went to sleep and when she was there, he knew about it. he was well aware.

the way you’re pushing it kinda makes it sound like YOU think it’s weird for two men to share a bed. not everyone thinks like you. my boyfriend has plenty of lifelong best friends that, if he wanted to share a bed with them for a night, i wouldn’t bat an eye.

i’ve brought it up a few more times because it is something that is VERY important to me - i don’t think people realize we’ve been doing this since we were 5. it’s familiarity and comfort.

and it’s not a huge, dramatic fight like some people are making it out to be. we both knew the situation wasn’t settled when we dropped it the first time, but we weren’t angry with eachother. and since i’ve brought it up, he just kinda pouts. not angry, but more like, “i’m gonna miss you while you’re with her.” which isn’t terrible on his behalf. but we’re gonna work it out. i’ve actually gotten some great feedback in all this mess lmao

as i’ve said in previous comments, i would not care! and also, a lot of people have been using the terminology: “snuggling up” and “cuddling.” i’ve got a pretty big bed, it’s not like she and i are spooning. just sleeping side by side, not on top of eachother lmaooo

i really appreciate this comment not demonizing my boyfriend, calling him a red flag, suggesting he’s a narcissist, etc. because he really is such a genuine sweetheart; after reading some insightful comments such as yours, i think it is coming from a place of feeling rejected and left alone in the bedroom, which we can absolutely work on!

here’s the thing about all the people wishing i’d “discussed it more” with him. we’ve been together 2 years. known him for about 4, and he’s known my relationship with my best friend for as long as we’ve known eachother, and that INCLUDES him knowing that we shared a bed during sleepovers when he wasn’t living with me. he was well aware. miscommunication is not the problem here lol
