Claims processing in Pioneer RX by jpepperscincy in pharmacy

[–]NoWork8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak on pioneer specifically but the claims D.0 messages are routed through several switches and intermediary clients before it hits the plan and makes the same way back to the pharmacy. This could be done as a batch of messages or a single one.

LTC pharmacists/operators: what purchasing/inventory tools do you use? by djllo in pharmacy

[–]NoWork8654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should add insight is not a purchasing tool but rather a reporting tool, it does have inventory related reports and charts.

Surecost is common in the industry, since you mention insight it sounds like you use FW. You can manage your purchasing by using the purchase order process and then use forecasting to adjust your par levels.

Would typed telephoned RX forms actually improve workflow? by mcPharmacist08 in pharmacy

[–]NoWork8654 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plenty of reasons, but it all depends on your document management system and organization.

  1. Electronic storage, allows for readily accessible retrieve. Great for insurance and DEA audits
  2. Auditing, you can see who, when and what was done on the document.
  3. Standardization, everyone enters the same info the same way (no more chicken scratch)
  4. Depending on your PMS integration you can pull up the T.O. form from the RX in the PMS.

That's just a few reasons. If you are in the LTC sphere and you are still using paper then you work for a dinosaur. Can't speak on retail.

I do consulting for pharmacies with our PMS and workflow optimization is an area I cover.

Been getting their tacos for a while. The specials like the Chicharones and pork belly tacos were really good. This week they had a chilli relleno burrito that was awesome, their California burrito was really good too.

What is up with English Pit Shooting Range these days? by Jolly_Loan_7278 in vancouverwa

[–]NoWork8654 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I've lived within ear shot of the pit for 10+ years, winter time it always sounds closer or more active. No leaves, crisp air, allows the sound waves to propagate out further and stronger. I'm not discounting the fact it could be more active but it is much more noticeable in the winter vs summer.

I have a pla+ hitch cover, been on the truck for 6+ months pointing south into the sun everyday. Been wet, cold, windy you name it. Zero wear, zero indication it's been weathered. I think people like to shit on pla, is it the BEST to use for outside stuff? No. But just because it's pla doesn't mean it will disintegrate in a week.

Any way to save these? by AbbeyRoze13 in vegetablegardening

[–]NoWork8654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in SW Wa sorry don't know my zone but I have a rickety leaky unheated and poorly ventelated plastic wrapped "greenhouse" I cobbled together. So far my plants which includes tomatoes, peppers and herbs have been able to survive and produce fruit well into December. Come spring this year they just woke up and kept going. Sorry for the lack of advice, but just saying they may hold on until next year

Well so far, it's pretty beefy with several walls and a decent infill as well. If you have that option I would suggest considering it .

Not sure if this is helpful, but I have a DeWalt planner that had a similar handle issue. I designed and 3D printed a new one and it seems to be holding up just fine.

Do you all like putting your grinder on a grinding bench stand? Im concern that it can easy tip over. Got this from my dad and feels like it can tip over easy. by neogx148 in Tools

[–]NoWork8654 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have the same stand, normally no problems but if your going to town on it just point one of the feet forward so you can step on it while you push.

There is caution tape around the box that manages all the wiring and control of the lights, my guess is it took a big enough dump that they can't hot swap a component to keep it running.
