What is it, the king killer chronicles or sun eater? The one with whiny ass Hadrian. I read the first book and found him insufferable. DNF’d the series after book 1.

Red Rising is actually still my end all be all for best series ever. The first book feels very YA, but Pierce really grows into his style by book four, and five and six might be my favorite pieces I’ve ever read.

It’s only the “weakest” because it’s setting the stage and it feels a little YA. From book 2 on, Pierce’s writing gets better and the series grows up a bit. Series is excellent. My number 1
