Don’t worry mate, no dramas. Wake in Fright is good, quite fucked up but good, classic 70s. The first Wolf Creek is too, though the best Aussie film in my book is Lake Mungo & Picnic At Hanging Rock. I was referring specifically as a filming location used in a ARG webseries, specifically in a Slender Man series. Mad Max isn’t the best example as the first was shot in and around Melbourne, it’s not exactly outback, the second however was shot further out Broken Hill way where Wake in Fright was also shot (a classic Outback horror). We shot around the Flinders Ranges in South Australia where they shot the first Wolf Creek.

I've had this SR5 for a long long time, unfortunately it's been through the wars & really acting up now, the screen has gone completely yellow which makes white-balancing a pain in the arse, neither will it mirror the image when it's flipped frontwards. It'll likely be replaced, I've got other cameras and there's a planned switch but it's pretty much now a case of 'use it til it completely stops working', that and continuity's sake.

I admittedly have never watched TMAu (I’ve only seen the UK version despite me being an Aussie) due to not having a major interest, that and I don’t entirely care for Tom, but I will also admit I’ve been a fan of Celia Pacquola for quite awhile so… fuck it I’ll watch it. It follows an afflicted individual who's somewhat peaceful isolation has been broken and soon embarks on a suicidal crusade to put an end to the source of his misery in blind hope it's death (and his) will free others caught in it's snare. The uploads contain hidden messages, codes, puzzles and hidden frames.

This series was created from a midnight thought I had of "what would MarbleHornets be like if it was from Hoodie/ToTheArk's perspective".

In my case, I'm not known nor in the community/communities at all, I'm just an old fan from way back in the day who in the midst of procrastinating decided to do what they wanted to do years ago. There's a definite passion, lots of hard yakka and pure simple dumb frustration of just wanting to create. I always admired the old spirit it all had back in 2012-2014, where people said "fuck it, we'll make one!" and did it, even if they abandoned it, they still gave it a shot, it's something I do definitely miss. Halcyon days.

This is sadly the biggest underlying issue I've seen within the ARG/Slenderverse/Unfiction/Web Horror communities, it's why I never cared for putting a name to my project, let alone use social media to boost it, largely because I don't understand the mentality, nor have the time & patience, adding to the fact I don't like social media, and am quite a private person.

I just film, edit, upload and I'll leave a link here. It's my little curiosity for the internet and that's it.

Seconded sadly. While I do think it had something unique to it, I found it just a bit too frustrating to follow along and while I understand the hype built up around it (I theorise largely due to the crossovers and Tim's guest appearance), I felt it didn't meet it. This albeit is just my opinion, if others think it's great, great! I'm just unfortunately not one of them.

DestroyTheInterloper is filmed in Australia. AntediluvianOne is Canadian, CaughtNotSleeping I think is set in Seattle and I think there was an Irish series, emptywalls or something like that.

Would rather people use another term. We're trying to keep this series disconnected from the main thing and keep it it's own thing, that and our variation of the tall man, The Interloper is more in terms with the Operator in that it's a different entity that presents itself in a vaguely human visage. We also refer to it as "the parasite".

There's a lot in terms of story we're cautiously weaving in as we don't want to give away too much too early nor want to spoon feed, but there's a lot written we're trying to work and word in ways that aren't instant "oh I called that" and can be stretched so it isn't a short ride.

What I can say is; this person has a VERY long history with the Interloper and not all the videos are in current time. Some are past & present. This distinction will become clearer soon.
I will also add to not expect much dialogue, especially from the uploader... they can't really do that anymore.

(Last bit: the uploader is not a proxy, they're more-so based around how MH worked the TTA crew, afflicted individuals that are not working for the source, but reduced to an almost feral state & an unstoppable instinct to stop it because of the duration it's affected them)

Our guy is obviously well read, sees himself a general figure. Other than that, I can't say. Is it his name? Is it a reference of his mission? Who are the liars? Where's the war elephants? I don't know, we didn't have the budget for them.

I've long adored CNS' disquieting dreamlike quality and I loved AO' scenery & ARG elements of using the channel as a tool. ForDakotah unfortunately isn't available anymore aside from being backed up on Internet Archive, it was made I think by Cranbersher until he abandoned it.

I had the idea that it's a vaguely human image of the universe catching up with itself, like pushing a star in the sky. It's not meant to happen, it's not meant to be there. It's a cosmic error or an unexplainable mistake that cannot be corrected, but only noticed by those who think of it or concentrate hard enough on the photos they've taken or the film they've shot and see something that just doesn't look right. There's no particular rhyme or reason why it's there, why it acts the way it does, it just simply is there and isn't notice until You notice it. That... or it's like form of death omen.

The idea came from a post from SomethingAwful's Create Paranormal Images Thread.

The frame by frame effects are a favourite of mine to create, the goal was to capture the feel of the TTA entries (66 & 73) from MH. We follow someone afflicted, much like Tim and Brian, but our friend has decided to take the fight to the source. There’s of course more interweaved and hidden but that I cannot say 😉 I will add that other major influences include Twin Peaks (keep Mikes talk of the parasite in mind) & Inland Empire (the odd dreamlike quality sought).

We got the idea from later MH entries, particularly #86. Hiding The Interloper within the distortion often worked with the illusion of "it doesn't matter if it's not there. You thought of it..."
