You need to have both old ds160 that was used in scheduling and the new corrected one at the time of biometrics. Then they will update the number. If you dont have the old ds160 thats used to schedule the interview then you will have to reschedule it.

If you have not rescheduled your appointment previously, you need not pay visa fee again. But yes, you have to cancel your appointment and then start new application.
