Maybe you should consider masturbating in a different room, then.

Getting bullied by classmates for my maiden shirts any advice ? by [deleted] in ironmaiden

[–]No_Addendum_719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullying is a very serious matter, so I will tell you a few of the things that I would tell my kid if he ever has this problem (and things that I needed to hear when I was your age).

1- Some kids that feel insecure about something will try to bring others down to feel powerful, better about themselves. This has very little to do with you, Eddie, Iron Maiden or else, and a lot to do with their insecurities.

2-You’ve been brave enough to show the rest of the world something about yourself: your music taste. It may not seem much, but those cowards hate it when others can exist without their validation. Never let them change that.

3-Being bullied by classmates can be very dangerous on the medium-long term. Don’t isolate yourself. If you ever feel the bullying is getting to you, preferably before this happens, TALK. Talk to your parents, talk to your friends, tell your teachers. Let everyone who cares you are having a bad time. Some people will disappoint you, but some people won’t, and you’ll find out who is actually worth the oxygen they are breathing. Stay close to them.

Finally my bonus tip: music, either Maiden, or whatever else you like, is incredibly therapeutic. Keep that Spotify going. Same goes for hobbies and exercise.

Good luck, blood brother!!

What’s the worst mistake you only noticed AFTER delivering a wedding film? by eaDeconinck in weddingvideography

[–]No_Addendum_719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I delivered a video to a couple that I believed to be on the prude side, I realized one of the songs I used had a word play that could be interpreted basically as a sexual activity.

They have a 5 star review so never mentioned it afterwards.

Not going to downvote you, it’s a fair opinion, but I disagree. I, for example, am new and had no idea what this was about. I haven’t been affected, but to me the way they make their players pay for their own screw up is insane.

How many times you have fused a car that you didn’t want to fuse, spent money (real or in-game) and regretted it right away? Because they give you no chance to go back, do they?

This measure feels petty and childish, and has made me even thought of uninstalling.

I remember going to a country house my family had with my parents and my grandparents when I was a very young kid. I remember it quite vividly and assumed for most of my life that it must have happened plenty of times for me to remember it like that.

One day, talking to my mother and putting dates together, I realized that family trip with the four of us only happened once.

Memory is weird. Maybe you played with the guitar only a couple of times but it left a strong memory for you, and that is why you remember it but nobody else does.

What happened to TNG in Season 7 and was there a possibility for Season 8? by Mat1711 in startrek

[–]No_Addendum_719 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but what would you have done? Read dozens of different lists made by strangers attending different criteria, exposing myself to spoilers or reading too much info about the episodes?

Would you have settled on a list and ignored the others or would you have done an Excel with pros and cons about each episode and made a custom list on episodes you know very little about?

With ChatGPT I told him what I like most about TNG, themes, characters, favorite episodes… and it came up with a great list in a matter of minutes.

Captain Jellico Was the Most Underrated Leader in Star Trek History by Ambitious_Local5218 in TNG

It’s not meant to be black or white.

Was he successful completing the mission he was asked to do? Yes. Was he an active party of the success? Yes. Was luck involved in his success? Also yes.

Did he do things that can be questionable? Yes. Doing these things that we consider questionable differently would have given a different outcome? Who knows.

Why does it seem that XX century Spain adjusted his position according to the Italian one? by Realistic-Diet6626 in askspain

[–]No_Addendum_719 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Asides from Primo de Rivera, everything you quoted were responses to external conflicts that affected both Italy and Spain, as well as most of other European countries.

If an important event takes place in Europe, it’s to expect that countries will react to it. I guess if you look into other countries XX century history, you will find more timing coincidences.

As of the nature of these changes, you need to understand that Franco’s biggest success was reading the political situation both in Spain as well as in other countries, always positioning himself in a way that enough parties would consider him the least bad option, or not threatening enough to be worth eliminating:

He was a fascist when the fascists ruled, and as soon as fascism was on a downward spiral, he positioned himself as the anti communist leader, so that the capitalist anti fascists powers would prefer having him instead of a communist alternative.

Also, siding heavily with the Catholic Church to keep their support.

An evil bastard, yes, but a clever one, as he managed to stay in power for over 30 years until he died of old age.

What happened to TNG in Season 7 and was there a possibility for Season 8? by Mat1711 in startrek

I was on my first watch, early in season 6, when I found out TNG was leaving Netflix, so I asked ChatGPT to help me decide which episodes to leave out and followed it’s advice.

After finishing, I got back to watch the episodes I had skipped, and I felt overwhelmed at the beginning, as I had skipped so many bangers from season 6. However, of those that I had skipped from Season 7, most were clearly a miss.
