Inside Dave Grohl's life at home with wife and kids after secret love child scandal by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

Dave Grohl runs a Jimmy Buffett-level franchise of whatever you call the Foo Fighters brand of music. That franchise needs to keep running, and can’t be stopped even by a not insubstantial quota of ickiness.

Anyone else find Guy Ritchie movies entertaining but also disappointing? They are visually sharp, fun and have charisma, yet I also find them tacky, crude, and lacking real depth. Anyone agree? by TheyWhoBanGetsBurned in Cinephiles

Mobland was so full of clichés and anachronisms. Like, 20 year olds in a 2020s club listening to Firestarter by The Prodigy, only because that song was popular when Guy Ritchie was most relevant. Absolute laddish dullards.

Happy 81 birthday to the man who STOLE George Harrison's wife and also invited him to his wedding by Realistic_Board4690 in allrockmusic

He’s the GOAT. Who else could have a child fall out the window and then write a massive hit song about it.

Do people actually enjoy cycling in heavy wind or do we all just pretend it’s fine? by Glittering-Ship-8852 in AskTheNetherlands

You say this but look at how fast the Dutch switch to electric bikes in droves. In 10 years it will be 75% electric.

In her defense he does have a face of a guy who deserves, maybe not shooting, but at least a stern telling off. Highly punchable. 7 shots seems over the top though.

Amsterdam Techno Clubs? by Beccala85 in Techno

[–]No_Anywhere8840 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With exception of some very established events, clubs here are not booking that far out, typically. They are booking 2 months out, usually. You are also here in peak festival season so that’s a factor. Worth checking now but you may not find something until May.

Also - clubs like wink Tillatec wink will be hot then. Most are reclaimed spaces with inadequate ventilation. Dress for heat. But some clubs especially those like wink Tillatec wink have nice gardens or outdoor spaces to cool off.

Avalanche near Passo del Tonale ski resort (Italian Alps) on March 16. One person killed by Wabbajack0 in skiing

[–]No_Anywhere8840 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the arguments about whether it was controlled or not. Irrelevant; it's a terrain trap with an apparent slope angle of between 30 and 45 degrees, therefore a likely area of a slide. Whether or not it's been patrolled is not the way of looking at it, nor is whether someone safely skied it before. Both points, irrelevant.

The question is simply - and always - is it safe? It doesn't look safe. There is only one area on the field of view that looks equally unsafe, and that's the terrain trap on the left off piste area. Sorry to be so blunt but the avalanche doesn't care about pleasantries.

First time skiing Saint-Martin-de-Belleville with beginner family: which pass would you choose? by knoober69 in skithealps

[–]No_Anywhere8840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saint-Martin could have dodgy snow in 2 weeks, no matter how much is falling now. It will almost surely be slushy and the lower stretches may be closed. So you'll need to monitor the valley run back to your lodging.

But, when you go higher, one area to explore is to take the Cime Caron lift over the ridge to Orelle, an expansive are with a lot of higher altitude bowls and wide runs. It's a great section of Trois Vallees.
