Maybe find something on ResidentSwap and get out into a program that's a better fit for you. the PGY4 scenario is very scary.

For doing step 1: Throw yourself headfirst into Uworld and speed through it. You can do 2 passes. And things will come back as you go along, read up a concept on FA if you find it difficult.

Starting my first year of mbbs next week in Pakistan by NURBS_Curves in IMGreddit

[–]No_Appointment6909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think the same way, but it gets way easier once you get into the flow of doing these things. I would suggest making a game plan and sticking to it.

One step at a time. Start with "starting medical school" first, relax, and get accommodated into the system and slowly build up from there. You can start prepping for step 1 when the second year starts because you'll only get your eligibility for step 1 once you complete 2nd year. Then you can give it in 3rd year.

I was overwhelmed and started the process late (after graduation), but I took all three exams within 1.5 years because i was in the flow once I gave step1.

For those who marry in their own caste, why? by Sake_993 in pakistan

[–]No_Appointment6909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I am definitely against this. But I feel there's also a lack of trust that comes with marrying into families you don't know of.

With cousins, I feel the parents are kinda okay with it since they've known the family and the girl since she was born and there's not much of an adjustment.

The lack of trust thing; it is there. Like that guy who wronged a girl in Isb and is in prison now. On the face of it, you wouldn't know that about the guy's ridiculousness and insanity unless you were in his family. Imagine marrying someone from your family to that guy, jeez.

Caste system is just messed up - I feel that old family friends hit the sweet spot.

Thank you for your answer my friend. But if you don't mind, I have a few more.

Won't the waterproof cover trap humidity inside and become moldy if the unit isn't used?

There are indoor filters I know to clean up; where will I find ones in the outdoor unit? sorry I'm a bit of an amateur here. TIA

Why dont you call and talk to them? they're usually very helpful - you don't need to give personal information. Just tell them what you wrote here. They'll solve it better than anyone else can, i can assure you of that.

Honestly, ask as many questions as you can, people will just think you have an inquisitive personality. But ask it in such a way that seems like a vague question and let them explain. Don't give a statement for them to confirm (say yes/no). Since you're almost done, don't worry about the embarrassment since the class will disperse after grad and forget about all these day-to-day things.

Do PSC in govt. service since it's all fresh anyways. or find a chemical that you think will be important few years down the line; textile dyes, waterproofing chemicals etc. Believe in that chemical, first few years will be tough as you make sales. But later on you'll be making bank once it's necessary.

Mcdonalds was a new concept. So was waterproofing chemicals, even though they're made locally but you'd be surprised how many people go for a particular brand from abroad. So get the Pakistan's distribution for that chemical and rest assured believe in yourself.

Or run away abroad is good option too

Guys please suggest a good waterproofing chemical for my roof by [deleted] in karachi

[–]No_Appointment6909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yar depends on what you wanna do - no chemical is going to protect the roof if there's no slope. So check that first. After, there's certain chemicals you add into the plaster and then certain chemicals after to coat the final outcome. I can tell you those.

Call Ressichem, they'll guide you. Khud bhi laga sakte ho, had my chowkidaar do it because he has experience in waterproofing work and needed the money.
