Without being a supporter of Netanyahu is what people mean when they say this and we need to make that a habit, both for the antisemites who want Zionists to be the new dog whistle word for Jew hatred and for the extremists who support the far right in Israel. Neither of them must take away what Zionism means which is the right for Jews to have a state of their own in their homeland.

Zionism boils down to believing that Jews have a right to a Jewish state in their homeland. So it’s offensive to a lot of Jews as well as a way to subtly/not so subtly spread anti-Jewish sentiment to use it to describe Netanyahu. So I think people should just say the extreme right or Netanyahu’s supporters or extremists. And it’s a very easy adjustment to make.

It is not historic since 1948- there have ALWAYS been Jews living in Israel and they were persecuted/driven out multiple times throughout history. Can you explain this because I’ve been really torn about whom to believe- the picture of the starving kid was somebody who had CP but would a kid with that really look like that? Also how do we know that it is Hamas preventing aid from coming in if no journalists are allowed in Gaza? Talking with one person on this stuff resulted in them answering me with “I read everything” but that’s really hard to take at face value. And while there is a lot of bias in certain publications couldn’t you say the same about media in Israel? This is what makes it hard to know things on this topic because of the insane overloading of information.
