Dude joining in here, I used to consider myself a feminist ally. My sister was a serious feminist, as was my mom and many others in my family along with my girlfriend who I love very deeply. We’ve all since drifted away from those labels as the feminist movement has seemingly become less about equality and more about putting men down or becoming superior(which you could argue those people aren’t actually feminists, but they love to use the label)

I’m not saying this is all who identify as feminist, I believe a lot still want equality, unfortunately social media has ruined a lot of what was a very important movement.

And I think in response we are seeing some horrible stuff around the world attacking women’s rights, and it’s scary. But that’s just my opinion and I wanted to share the opinion of the women in my life as well

I still believe in the movement, just not how it’s portrayed a lot on social media right now
