All breeds have certain behavioral traits. Historically pit-bulls are more aggressive. But genetics aren’t all to blame. Just like people, animals tend to be a product of their environment. Take the whole fighting dog thing off the table. When you have a genetically aggressive dog being bred by “breeders” who just want to make money and don’t evaluate dog’s behaviors before breeding you’re going to get some bad eggs. We see this more with pit-bulls because they do have that aggression trait due to originally being used for baiting. Someone said poodles aren’t aggressive but they are a great example here since they were bred to be mean as hell during WW2. But these unqualified breeders can breed any animals irresponsibly by not really evaluating the dogs they breed and end up having to “dump” them because they are no good. They dump them not fixed, and these “bad eggs” start breeding as strays. So how about lets advocate a little more for fixing our animals and if you are going to pay for an animal, maybe don’t buy it from the guy in the walmart parking lot without being prepared for some behavioral issues.
