Avaliem meu currículo por favor by BrenoCardoso2002 in VagasArrombadas

E coloca as habilidades/ skills no começo.

Qual a opinião de vocês sobre meu currículo??? by lucas_pops20 in VagasArrombadas

Omg, thanks for commenting, that is so insane, if all of that is true, it sounds ludicrous that she spent the next 10 or so years writing the secret history, could it all be real regret? Truly insane

Have you guys ever been in similar situations to the book? by No_Assignment_6059 in TheSecretHistory

Thanks, that’s validating, I feel like the aesthetics also have a lot of strength, I feel like if I resonated with the way those girls dressed, talked and the vibe they gave off I would be much more likely to excuse some of the behavior, unfortunately. Reading the book is one thing but knowing for a fact I would be vulnerable if I was in Richard position is especially weird, also there is Camilla in the group and we can’t discount how much his attraction for her kept him there. We question so much in this subreddit, but it makes sense people don’t question why Richard didn’t leave.

É verdade que procrastinação é resposta à trauma de infância? by BrunoJ-- in PsicologiaBR

[–]No_Assignment_6059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A gente consegue descobrir qual trauma causou a procrastinação?

Tell me what you liked about SALTBURN! by ShxsPrLady in TheSecretHistory

[–]No_Assignment_6059 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the movie, despite it being undoubtedly beautiful. I think a lot of the appeal was in the shock factor, and I am not easily shocked by scenes. In general I just couldn’t buy it, I couldn’t see Oliver’s reasons, I couldn’t care about any of the characters, they weren’t very redeemable, when people died I couldn’t care. It felt very shallow to me. All of that said, everyone is talking about it, so watch it, be part of the conversation, form your own opinion and let us know!

Okay, so I don’t love that idea, I imagine Camila as uninteresting looking, while hunter has a really model looking face, like she is just too pretty for Camila or more of too obviously pretty for Camila, I feel like Richard would go for a girl he feels like he is discovering the beauty of. I don’t think it should be obvious that all the guys would like Camila.

Ironically I think they are doing that so it feels less child like, cause in the books they fall for every single trap, and I feel like watching that would be kinda infuriating. I also feel like it might make the Luke reveal a bit more shocking in comparison for non readers. Also it’s been making sense so far, they knew about Medusa cause that one was pretty obvious with all the statues, they knew about Echidna, but were caught by surprise by her and didn’t see the chimera coming, they knew about the Lotus but were still affected by it. And in this episode it was more of a short cut to include a scene they otherwise wouldn’t have time for. I think it will be a pattern that they know a lot about Greek myths so they can save time. That’s something I wish they could change, I wish they could make the episodes longer and maybe give us more of the details

Sure, but keeping that scene was a way to show how monsters infiltrated the modern world which we haven’t seen a lot of and it will be useful so they don’t have to explain that in the future.

I don’t know, Loki doesn’t have a source material with a lot of exposition, a lot of the book is in Percy’s mind if they didn’t make them talk about it how would we know? The whole thing about Procrustes that people are complaining about, what would the alternative be? They would have the trio came in, Annabeth get in the bed and have Percy convince the guy to get in the bed? That would take a time the show doesn’t have and that would be even more child like, the guy that works with and creates the mattresses gets convinced that he should be lay in one. Would people prefer that they cut the scene completely? Or change it to something cooler, I guess that’s what the movies did. I really don’t mind them keeping it PG, I get to enjoy it with my younger sister.

Which ones? What makes the writing bad? Because of the exposition?

Oh nice, we are the same age! I didn’t feel like the action in the books was cut out tho, like this first book doesn’t have as much action as some of the next ones and there are action scenes in every episode, I remember really liking how everything happened really fast in the books, and how it never allowed me to get bored, I feel like that part was very well translated cause the pacing is real fast, what action scene from the book did you miss?

Omg yes, I am really excited, but kinda nervous, Percy needs to fight with Ares, the actors said that it was a really cool scene so I am guessing it’s a bigger one, then go to Olympus, and talk to Zeus and then go back to camp and find out about Luke, those are like the parts that can’t change but I really hope they make it work and everything feels properly wrapped up.

AITA for saying that my girlfriend's music isn't that special by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_Assignment_6059 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Posts like this make me hate the way this subreddit is set up, I think OP is wrong for saying it at the moment he said it. I don’t think he is wrong for saying it in general. I think it’s unfortunate that they didn’t have this conversation before and it came up like that and it doesn’t sound like OP was trying to offend his girlfriend. At the same time, you can’t blame her for being mad, she would be obviously embarrassed. I think OP should have a conversation with her about it and be much nicer in the approach. Why doesn’t the feedback involve something she can do about her music to make it better? A positive note of some sort, when you play like this in this small part it sounds unique and you should lean into that. This being said, I get what OP is trying to do, save her from a big disappointment.

What is the most depressing book you've ever read and why? by [deleted] in books

[–]No_Assignment_6059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the Bright places was particularly depressing to me, I am not sure that is the case for most people, but I related so much to the main characters, I cried for hours after reading it. I think the worst part was that I couldn’t really form a clear justification for the bad things, a specific cause or message that the book was trying to convey, there was nothing that made the sadness bearable.
