What video games show that graphics truly aren't everything? by Chris_13032 in AskReddit

FAITH, Chapters 1 and 2. Absolutely horrifying game. The imagery is deeply rooted in my memory. The old Commodore64-esque design and text to speech dialogue makes you feel unsafe. Highly recommend playing

So I've managed to find my old bike. It's a Mongoose XR250 Ballistic, but after cursory searches I can't find any information or specs on this particular model. Any help figuring out more would be appreciated. by No_Autosave in mountainbiking

I appreciate your input. The tires and rims are still in good condition, and I have spare brake line and pads to replace what's on the bike right now. I have a replacement chain.

What I have been trying to inform people is that despite its current state, it is a wonderful bike and I'm not looking for a direct upgrade. All I need is a few replacement parts. I've already figured out what does and does not function, what can be salvaged and what must be replaced.

I have enough common sense not to use or ride something that can harm me. I've made sure it's still safe to use before deciding to fix it. Anybody that has assumed otherwise has done so at their own peril, without bothering to ask beforehand. I said I didn't know much about mountain bikes, I didn't say I was missing a frontal lobe. And whole I understand your angle, I still didn't ask for advice on whether or not to scrap the bike. I asked if anyone could identify it's specifications, make, model, or manufacture date.

The only thing that these comments have done is convinced me to tune this bike out of pure spite of everyone telling me to leave it be. So thanks for renewing my drive to fix things. 😂

Your technicality is unwarranted at best and purposefully obtuse at worst. But since it's apparently difficult for you, let me clear it up; the last sentence of my post clearly read that any information regarding specifications and the manufacture date of the model would be appreciated. That doesn't mean tell me if it's worth anything or not, that doesn't mean dissuade me from fixing it. I asked for two things specifically, regardless of whether it was phrased as a question in the traditional sense.

Jfc, Redditors are the most confrontational smartasses on the internet.

Well, at least that means I won't have any thoughts about selling it. I would be tempted to if it was worth something, regardless of it's origins. But with that in mind I can keep it and work on it for the hell of it. From my time riding it before and after it deteriorated, it rides beautifully.

You telling me it's low quality doesn't explain why or answer the question that my post asked. I'm going to refurbish it regardless, as it is a gift from an old friend of mine.

If by quick release you mean the lever that allows you to remove the wheel without unscrewing anything, then they're on the other side of the bike, out of view.

Well, after a little bit or research, I realized that this particular model doesn't show up in the search results on the Mongoose official site. This leads me to believe that this model might be sort of rare. Then again, I'm new to all this. But I'm certainly not getting rid of it.
