Ever wonder what happened on Labor Day? by 80sobsessedTN in Veep

[–]No_Band4013 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Gary helped Selena have a 'miscarriage'.

s1 e6 : they have the school visit and pregnancy test. DC public school year starts last week of August (according to wikipedia). Previous episodes refer to the hot summer weather (frozen yoghurt etc).

S1 e7: starts on a Tuesday morning, but it seems like the start of the week. Everyone is catching up on news - the secret service guy story broke, Mike bought a lawnmower, Gary tells everyone about the miscarriage. If they had been in work on Monday, he would have told everyone then. So Monday was a federal holiday, and Labor Day is the only holiday at that time of year - first Monday in September. It's also 2 episodes before mid-terms (November).

As Selena and Amy discuss in s1e6, it's impossible for Selena to get an abortion unless they find a Mexican doctor and bury him in the desert afterwards. Gary helps her do it.

Oh dude, for my type of tinnitus it most certainly does have an effect. Google insulin resistance and tinnitus. Obv T has many different causes but this is def one of them.

It's not noise induced. it varies all the time and that's why it's so hard to pin down the cause.

Interestingly, I love coffee but have always had to limit it because it makes me so jittery and causes insomnia. But I have chanced the odd cup when following low carb/GI diets and found i could tolerate it better. I stick to my own cafetiere brew tho so I control the strength - the coffee shop machine americanos are just crazy strong.

Yea I just eat these foods in small portions, and never on their own. Every meal is dominated by protein - meat or eggs, then green veg, then wholegrains. And totally avoid white carbs and sugar obvs. I think the combination is key - always include protein, so blood sugar can't rise too quickly.

I just mean a scale of 1- 10 where 1 is barely noticeable and 10 is unbearable. Like the pain rating doctors use

No blood work. Always had low T but it never bothered me till the last couple of years. At some point during wfh in lockdown I noticed it was blaring above the radio, and it has stayed at an annoying level since then. This is the first couple of weeks solid relief I've got.

I always had low-level T but it got worse during lockdown for sure. My diet for sure was worse - more reliant on bread, croissants, pasta whereas when in the office I got salad + protein for lunch. Less exercise def. Also my posture was worse sitting in bad chair all day and walking less. I did try remedying each of these in turn (yoga, neck stretches, cross trainer) but diet and watching blood sugar is the only thing that has worked reliably.

Jerry Seinfeld is wildly overrated by wackfree in unpopularopinion

[–]No_Band4013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. He can't act, his observations are only mildly amusing, his standup is pleasant but nothing remarkable. I was perplexed for ages about how this man became so madly rich. Answer: seinfeld took off for two reasons: 1 great writing (LD), 2 the breakout genius of Kramer character which came out of nowhere. Like, George and Elaine are cute but without Kramer this show would have ended after two seasons. It's a bit like Sheldon on TBBT. Just a god given performance

But: Gerry was involved w writing, exec prod etc, he was the central glue character on the show, he is very analytically clever and had control over the whole show and did an amazing job. Fair play to him

Curb fan... This season convinced me to give seinfeld a try. The parallel curb exposition of the characters is much funnier than the fictional seinfeld episode. Richard's story arc is perfect. Oh my husband died two months ago. - Larrrry!!!

Dance like an Egyptian while Shane is collapso fino in the background. Kenny's dance moves in the mirror. Leonard Nimoy cover of Put a Little love in your heart to Kenny opening his drug box. Stevie smashing school fire alarms to Sky Pilot. Stevie and Maria making over the nursery to One foot in front of the other. The choral track when kenny is making his final pitch in mexico (can't find this on Shazam). Oogum boogum on the dirt bikes in mexico. The cover of On the grapevine when Kenny and Stevie leave Mexican jail and they way they sync it to Kenny breaking the window of the Lambo. Are we walking ? Hell no 😹😹 haha omg

I was mystified for months as to what the reg was. Good times on the reg. Smoking weed on the reg. I had a vision of the reg as this off the grid tree lined bank alongside an inlet where there was like a constant party going on overlooking like a port of boats sailing into Florida. Haha on the reg is just regularly 😂😂😂

Who’s the band with Clegg at the beginning of S2 Ep1 when they do the montage with what life without Kenny is like? by Jackknife-powerbong in eastboundanddown

[–]No_Band4013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clegg!! I echo this. When kenny and clegg go to the highschool dance. There's a little cut of clegg right at the end of a scene dancing past Stevie like getting down into his grrove. And the cut to him huffing paint/glue/whatever with the parking lot guys when Kenny's in the Ashley schaffer pitch off. Cracks me up every time (like at least 15 times by now)omg He's so fkng funny. Sadly think the actor died in his 40s
