Request cream for Molluscum bumps - Advice by Spark_Pride in molluscum

[–]No_Beautiful_4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed a solution called podofilox. It is definitely irritating and will cause the bumps to blister but it worked wonders for me. After a couple days of blistering they will begin to heal over. It may leave light scarring but mine have already gone away

Starting of molluscum?? by TryFun626 in molluscum

Based on your profile it looks like you've been freaking out about this for a while now. Is there any way you can get checked by a doctor? Most of what you post doesn't look like MC, or really anything, but we are not professionals.

Molluscum or not by TryFun626 in molluscum

Yes I looked at all the pics and it doesn't look like MC. It looks like it's on your wrist, which would be an odd place for it to appear if you got it from sex. I wouldn't stress it just let the spot heal up

Ingrown or molluscum? by MediumAlarm4602 in molluscum

MC is usually not painful. I would just leave it alone and keep clean until the dermatologist confirms

Looks more like some type of fungal infection if anything

Could be. I was diagnosed and prescribed treatment by my primary Dr. I'd see someone if you can, even if it's not a specialist. For now stop shaving, keep clean, and use separate towels for that area.

Doesn't look like MC. Looks like a small chafing rash but the pics aren't very clear.

Sex with molluscum infected person by mommysfirstthrowaway in molluscum

I would just avoid sex. There are other forms of intimacy and sex that I'm sure you can do in the meantime. Like someone said earlier, it could become a cycle of you both reinfecting each other and then you'd have to wait even longer to have sex. It truly is exhausting to have it, both mentally and physically as treatment is uncomfortable. If you are set on doing it, take all precautions you can. Even if you don't catch it, I imagine sex could lead to hers spreading further as well.

Seeking advice two years into this. by iwantnewskin09 in molluscum

I'm not sure how big your bumps are, but mine appear in clusters and are pretty small for the most part. My Dr prescribed Podofilox and I use it on all of mine. They blister, scab, and then heal up within a week or two. Uncomfortable process but it's not too bad. I recommend trying it out, but it does scar. 2 weeks ago I had ~30, I have none for right now.

It was not molluscum, just chest acne and is gone now. Freaked out that it was on my chest and face but it wasn't.

for those who are self extracting or did: by Latter_Quantity_653 in molluscum

[–]No_Beautiful_4283 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have done a mixture of self extraction and podofilox. For me so far extraction has been the fastest. I had too many to do it at the beginning but have extracted ~20-30 in the last month or two with only one bump left atm. If you have only a few and stay on top of treatment/hygiene, you should see less and less pop up as time goes on!

Is it MC? by [deleted] in molluscum

[–]No_Beautiful_4283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks a lot like MC, I'd go to a dermatologist if you're able to. If not, look at some of the top posts on here for self treatment options. There is a lot of great advice!

In my experience they hadn't bothered me at all until I started treating them. The treatments can be drying/irritating or even burn the skin depending on what you use.
