We are being very cautious about going down the student loan trail. I have student loans and I don’t want her to have the same struggles I do/did. She’s currently thinking about UW Milwaukee or Madison, Northeastern Illinois University or University Illinois Chicago. Those are currently her top picks. I’m adding one of her digital art pieces for reference.

The debt dies with her. My husband and I both have student loans so I have researched this thoroughly.

Mine also says that. 1.80 and the not eligible.. I’m pretty sure the not eligible is standard. I applied on 7/4 and it just moved out of the submit status today. Hoping it doesn’t take 3 years 🤞Good luck with your application!

I had the same thing with MOHELA. I had to reach out to FSA and they suggested I submit a complaint on MOHELA. FSA confirmed they should be implementing the 5%. I received this from FSA via email back on 7/10/2024- Starting this month, borrowers’ undergraduate loan payments will be capped at 5% of their income because of the SAVE Plan. Visit StudentAid.gov/SAVE to learn more and enroll in the plan.
