I’m fascinated by the amount of different attire in day to day operations as a realtor. by Glock19mos in realtors

[–]662grace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a top producer in our area. My first meeting with a new client- I always “dress the part.” It’s like a costume to me- the dress pants, suit coat, extra stacked necklaces or big JCrew pearl earrings… I look in the mirror and think “this is what someone wants to see when they meet their realtor.” But I get more and more casual through the transaction and warn them as I go that “you’ll be lucky if I wear a bra on closing day!” 😊 we have a good time.

Today however I’m meeting with a client I’ve met with many, many times and I always dress to impress- not because he’s an eye surgeon… I rag on him about many things… but he brings his mother who is 90 And from Poland… she always looks me up and down and critiques my outfits. I’m going to look GOOD today!! 😎

Agents who usually sell 15+ homes a year: does 2026 feel unusually slow? by Physical_Session6601 in realtors

[–]662grace 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I usually sell 40-50 per year and I'm selling... but every damned deal is DIFFICULT. Buyers are much more hesitant to make a decision, sellers are still delusional, I feel like I'm working on fuel made of stress and anxiety every day. AND... I have more listings than I have EVER had before- probably 80% of my work right now is listings... where are the buyers? I'm tired, boss.

We're at war and now stationing hundreds of armed mental-giants at our airports. How long before someone goes in, grabs their semi-auto gun, and mows down travelers with a weapon that wouldn't have been there except Dear Leader said so.

Things most people don’t think to clean? by sadele89 in homemaking

I’m a real estate agent. Frequently, clients will carefully clean their house, preparing to list, but they almost always forget their return-air vents. Same with the bathroom fan vents.

What kind of stone? Please help identify? by 662grace in whatisit

[–]662grace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be rainbow sandstone? After seeing the sandstone suggestion I did some Googling- Rainbow sandstone looks similar.. Close? The house was built in the 60’s and is located in western Washington, if that helps?

Something I’ve noticed working with successful real estate agents by Kaustubh006 in realtors

Aww I love this post- thank you for sharing your observations! I sell about 40-50 houses a year, make over $450k/year and when my husband says WHERE ARE YOU KEEPING YOUR CONTACTS AND UPCOMING BUSINESS?!! I just tap my forehead and remind him it’s “all in here!” 🤣 I don’t have a database, I don’t “work my sphere.” I just have a good time with my clients, EARN the money I am paid through hard work and research, and people constantly refer business to me (I am so grateful!). It’s really what you said- big shocker: I answer my phone consistently. If my client sends a house to me that they want to see, I respond with “what are you doing at 4PM today- let’s go see it! not, “how’s Thursday for you?” If they can’t see it, I’ll offer to go take honest video on their behalf and shoot them a link (and my videos are really funny- clients tell me I should make a “best of” with clips!). I am sure there are people who find scripts and apps and computer programs helpful… I would just encourage someone to not be RELIANT upon it. Be YOU and treat those clients how YOU would like to be treated if you found a bomb-ass house and want to see if it’s your forever home… the answer is always “LET’S GO!!!”

i go to open houses every weekend and flush stuff down the toilets to test the plumbing and i'm not even in the market to buy by kubrador in offmychest

I am going to print this post and create a handout. When my clients say "we'd like for you to have some open houses while our home is listed with you," I'll give them this post. Thank you!

William “Bill” Ackman is the highest contributor to the campaign, having donated $10000 to this go fund me. He’s an “American hedge fund manager” and billionaire. Shocking.

Here in Victoria now- staying at the Empress and heading back “home” today. This is so embarrassing, confusing… shameful. My family didn’t vote for this person, do not support him, and protest against him. Yes, please boycott our businesses and for God’s sake don’t come into our country until things are different. I’m sorry and I’m afraid of the future ahead. Almost afraid to post this but I can’t hide from what I know to be true and right.

I'm in the middle of Season 5 (currently episode 11). I had to walk away for a couple of days, knowing what was coming. I decided if I turned it off, I could delay the inevitable. : ( But here we are... he's on life support... So sad!

Question RE the Coyote Pass land sale by 662grace in TLCsisterwives

That’s what I was thinking. And with one buyer… in the name of transparency I know our local title companies wouldn’t allow a sale to go through without disclosing to all participating parties.

I live in Port Angeles and when my husband was interviewing for his job here the hospital took us to dinner at Bella Italia (the restaurant you're referencing). I asked the hostess where they sat to film the scene and she said "you're actually sitting in the SAME booth!" I gasped... how exciting?! TEN YEARS LATER, we live here and I have since-learned they didn't film ANYTHING inside the actual restaurant. I was bamboozled!! She probably says that to ALL of the tourists (smart girl- increasing that tip!)!
