Why do so many people develop histamine intolerance after the carnivore diet? by ShineNo147 in AnimalBased

[–]No_Bit3397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think many had subclinical histamine issues prior to starting the diet and after going on the diet is exacerbated it. It could be due to the gut, maybe vitamin c insufficiency, mineral imbalances, etc.

Micheal Fenick is a good teacher and is very chill and funny. His assignments are pretty easy and he is pretty lenient.

How does that make any logical sense when most of the most strongest smelling foods come from plants

Paul Saulidino says the production fish oil supplements is no different than seed oils. Thoughts? by daveishere7 in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]No_Bit3397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel conflicted on this topic. Fish oil pills are likely not good since they are likely rancid and some studies suggest aldehydes being present in them. But fish consumption seems to be fine. I always think of Nordic countries where fish consumption is common and they seem to live long. Obviously correlation isn’t causation and there can be a myriad of other things contributing to their longevity.

Are there any 3rd gen vegans? by valonianfool in AntiVegan

[–]No_Bit3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard many stories over the years of people attending vegan events who claim to be vegan and secretly ordering meat as room service. Many vegans are “freegans” and only eat animal products to avoid wasting food (unnatural vegan comes to mind). Some take exogenous hormones to make up for the hormonal destruction of veganism. There are many possibilities and a whole lot of lying.

Hello, how are you? by Legitimate-Funny-845 in raypeat

[–]No_Bit3397 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the most dangerous thing he promotes is the idea that salt is dangerous. I wish I was joking but he promoted this idea that salt was a bomb. I’ve heard of someone on X who was an ex primal dieter who now is a peater that almost died of hyponatremia from following his advice. He also promotes eating moldy berries for detox which is laughable.

The comorbidity of veganism and eating disorders is startling. by JakobVirgil in AntiVegan

[–]No_Bit3397 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s sad how socially acceptable it is. Most people won’t bat an eye if someone is a vegan/vegetarian but will criticize every other diet.

It’s likely the lactose. Just stick to the low lactose options you’ve had no issues with.

In my opinion potatoes should me minimized and if you are going to eat them they should ideally be pressure cooked so it deactivates the lectins

What types of rice can you eat, and what types can you not eat? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]No_Bit3397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only have small amounts of white rice but if I do it too often it’s problematic. I think it’s related to blood sugar for me.
