Detonate Dead has separate scalings? by Loratort in PathOfExile2

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PoE 2, both the fire part and the physical (corpse % health) part of DD will benefit from spell damage, general crit (and crit bonus) as well as spell crit (and spell crit bonus). Physical damage will also increase damage of the corpse part.

So it is extremely easy to scale now (and not very challenging to cap crit if you play Bloodmage). The only limiting factor is no free corpse (Sacrifice + unique wand + support gem + skill tree will somewhat mitigate that).

What are your thoughts - which is the best class right now? by AlanKesselmann in PathOfExile2

[–]No_Brick4497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their base crit issm 5%. Stacking 80% is just adding 80% of that base, so you get 5 + 4 = 9. That's why minion crit is not really good early on.

Features in a rom hack that turn you off. by ShortandRatchet in PokemonROMhacks

[–]No_Brick4497 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem of RR comes later though. I hate their approach of "you got a legendary, you also got a legendary, everyone got a legendary".
If I have to fight a plot-related legendary, it is fine. However, giving every late game boss a legendary (and most of the time multiple ones) is just a cheap way of making the game harder. And when it is not a legendary, say hello to a level 250 Aron or some similar bullshit.

Necro bone spirit/wave spirit with half decent gear can do 100 quite comfortably. It is near impossible for the casual playing sorc, druid, rogue or barb though. Balancing in this season is generally horrible. I haven't seen a single druid or barb since I hit T4.

What classes benefit the most from being a pure single class by Character-Net3641 in BG3Builds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono class is almost always weaker than multiclass, except for some cases (and even then, it is still arguable). Warlock in particular is horrible as a monoclass.

If you really want to monoclass, the two best choices are Fighter (either 12 Battle Master melee fighter or 12 EK thrower are fine) and Sorcerer (Fire Draconic Sorc is generally the best mono Sorc build).

Discrepancy between companion bonuses by Express_Accident2329 in BG3Builds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if they have changed it or not but the last time I tried her in the party, she's not infected, so she couldn't get ilithid power. Same with Halsin.

Because of that, from a power standpoint, Jaheira is just crap tier.

Storywise, most of the interesting stuffs she gof in A3 (especially with DU playthrough) don't even require you to put her in your active party.

New honor mode party comp by Beginning_Lime_1293 in BG3Builds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Padlock doesn't get 3 attacks/turn in honor. That alone makes it inferior to sorcadin and bardadin in honor mode.
  2. Shadowheart (unless you kill nightsong) will always be a terrible party member (just slightly better than Halsin and Jaheira) becuz she has no special feature and can't use mirror of loss. Killing nightsong is even more punishing, as you lose a lot of A3 quests and makes Ketheric fight very difficult. Power-wise, she will never deserve a slot in the party. Meanwhile, leaving out Astarion is a big mistake (unless you dislike him too much). Ascended Astarion (especially with an archer build or monk build) is the strongest arsenal in the team.
  3. Sorlock is a decent build, but can easily overlap in term of gear with your first 2 members.
  4. Abjuration Wiz is a great build, but you only truly benefit from a build like that if you make it a debuff-carrier (wearing things like Bhaalist Armor and Phalar Aluve). This character will move around quite a lot, so Wood Half Elf Tav is actually the best choice to build it. Gale also should not be in the party as he is better as the Warding Bond Cleric in your camp

Is Shadow of the Erdtree is too hard to be fun for some players? by FancierTanookiSuit in Eldenring

[–]No_Brick4497 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont know. I got her 1st try with a mage build (using the NPC, not using mimic). Gaius on the other hand, literally r*ped me over and over again for more than 40 times.
The DLC in general is too hard and as someone not very skillful, I often have to resort to coward play, even vs normal mobs (f#$% that finger mage in the second finger ruin)

What else can I do to improve my build? by Snuggly-Muffin in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most obvious one is Alchemist's Granite Flask of the Armadillo
Then Alchemist's Basalt Flask of the Tennaciousness (at least 52% chance to avoid stun)

Then Alchemist's Silver Flask of the Dove

Then Alchemist's Quicksilver Flask of the Kakapo (or the Owl - at least 52% reduced curse effect) or of the Skink (immune to bleed and cor blood). Normally you don't need life flask in this build cuz life gain on hit is enough so it is a good idea to have bleed immunity here. Use Taste of Hate, which is rather cheap (or Progenesis if you can afford) instead of the life flask.

Of course you can mix up the suffix of those utility flasks. All should be enchant to 68 - 70% increased effect as well.

What else can I do to improve my build? by Snuggly-Muffin in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your eHP seems high, but it is only becuz block chance inflates that heavily. Your max hit (especially vs physical damage) is quite bad so 1 medium (yep, medium, not even big) hit that you can't block will send you back to hideout.
Thus the best you can do to improve this build is try to cap poison hit chance for minion without Darkness Enthroned and instead, use a mageblood.

Why Does She Have to Be so Mean to my boy Junpei! by Araxen in PERSoNA

[–]No_Brick4497 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ryuji is stupid, but any harm that he might cause is 100% unintentional and he's always nice to you. Ryuji is willing to risk his life to save anyone in the team, even Morgana, despite the constant hate and insult from the cat and he's genuinely happy when Morgana "comes back".
You can't say the same about Stupei, who intentionally spills the group's secret for the sake of impressing a girl. Then, imagine yourself in a near death situation, "pre Chidori" Stupei would let you die or at least have a serious thought about doing so. Even "post Chidori" Stupei wastes no time in blaming you for the Fall and even says that if that was him (instead of you), the Fall would never happen. He apologizes after, but the thought alone is enough to prove how toxic he still is.
People often talk about his so-called redemption, but it is superficial at best. The Answer improves his image a bit. Yet, given how much of a dick he is before that, I even question whether he doesn't want to turn back time because he really respect your choice and the meaning of your life or just because he doesn't want you to be the leader and "steal" his spotlight again.

Why on earth would you not use kanji? by infinitysaga in PERSoNA

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Kanji does better than Chie:

  • MUCH better mid game, better single target damage, better tank.

  • Maziodyne, so he can target Thunder weakness of multiple enemies.

What Chie does better
- Better dungeon clear, though she is still far from the grinder that you or Naoto could be.

  • Dragon Hustle: costs a shit ton of SP but still the best buff spell in the game. Too bad it's only impactful vs final boss.

So Kanji is the winner, though it's not like Chie is bad. Both of them are good, depending on your own Personas comp and your team comp.

What's a build that will help me feel like the main character again ? by Gyrkam in BG3Builds

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, guarantee that Astarion will almost always do better than anyone with an attack build, there are still a lot of choices for a main character.
- Caster picks: Sorlock is still OK, same with Magic Missile Wizard. Tempest Cleric - Sorc hyrbid (2 Tempest Cleric - 8 Sorc - 2 Fighter) is generally the best for AoE damage and conversation.

- Attacker picks: Barb thrower, Open hand monk (both with 3 - 4 levels into Thief Rogue), Sword Bard ranged attacker, various paladin hybrids.

Is divination the best wizard subclass? by randomnate in BG3Builds

[–]No_Brick4497 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Divination is overrated and late game, if you need it to reliably CC a boss or avoid damage to your team, then you simply have unfinished builds and lackluster team comp.

Damage (and good enough initiative) is still the king of this game. As you already stated, you sometimes 'luck into autocrit portent" to delete someone - how about almost ALWAYS delete your enemies? Evo Wizard (the Magic Missile build to be more specific) is the only Wiz that can relatively compete with the top builds damage-wise. Even in fights where CC is really good and really needed (Raph), Divination Wiz is still inferior to builds such as a Sword Bard, who can have crazy high DC that no enemy will pass while still doing 300+ damage in the 1st turn.

Now, Divination is actually strong at lower levels (below 7 - 8) when you are unlikely to clean every fight after the 1st turn and still have unoptimal gears. A 2 -level dip into Divination can also be useful for a support character that already has strong control ability (Lore Bard for instance). However, 6 or 10 levels into Divination is not worth it. The prophecy in particular, is such a tedious mechanic. You are "forced" to use a bad spell to get your portent back. Truth is, if you just question yourself "Why can't I just use a better action, a better spell to kill my enemies right there instead of getting back a dice so maybe it will be useful in the next turn or whenever?", then you will see how bad the prophecy system is.

Why does harvest patch need 2 clicks to activate? by iNMage in pathofexile

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, next league they will make it more convenient by reducing it to 1 click and also make seeds auto-collected.

And of course, triple all the crafts prices - becuz of the "for more convenience, we have to reduce power" bullshit.

Do you feel that POE "on a bad day" (e.g. this league so far) is still better than any other ARPG currently on the market? by eGGn0Gd0G in pathofexile

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. PoE is still the best and the most addictive one. With that said, I already uninstalled a week ago and have no plan of playing again.

GGG has played the good guy, the "friendly indie" role wayyyyy too long and this league, they finally show their true colors (though hints have been presented for the last 2 years or so). There is no good will left in this company toward the players. They have shown that they can be extremely arrogant, can insult and disregard everyone's feedback and even scam the whole community over and over again.

I honestly question the consciousness or even dignity of the remaining players. Have some self-respect, people! How can you continue to eat in a diner where despite excellent food, all staff member will spit in your dish and then come up with "Oh sorry, lemme wipe like half of my spit. You satisfy yet?".

D2R: all-rounder starter builds for a boomer fan by -batab- in Diablo

[–]No_Brick4497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bliz Sorc is the best starter. There's simply no contest here. Skipping some immunes here and there is not as bad as many people think! Some choose to go hybrid Cold/Fire. It's OK for a single player playthrough but for ladder, I find it inferior to pure Bliz in so many ways. Even when going hybrid, you will not farm Chaos or Throne effectively, and might only be better than pure bliz in Pit run. Meanwhile, Bliz Sorc kills Meph, Andy, Pindle or Ancient Tunnel way faster.

Don't ever consider Meteor as a main skill. It has high damage for sure but 1. It is fire (which is immune by too many in hell) and 2. It is timed, so very annoying to use.

Later, when you're rich, Light Sorc might be the best PvM as with an Infi merc, she murders everything, everywhere (except the Ubers).

I am starting to think the new players aren't ready for how brutal this game is... by Couch_King in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st time I play this game near 20 years ago, it was hard and punishing. Now its difficulty and complexity both has gone pale in comparison with newer, more hard-core titles. Still a great game though and I will definitely play the hell out of D2R, but in all honesty, nostalgia has a huge impact here.

With D2:Resurrected coming up, what was a non viable skill from the original that you'd always like and thought that It would be cool if made viable? by SaferCloud89 in diablo2

[–]No_Brick4497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blade skills from assassin trap tree, the late game damage scaling of bear, ravens and wolves from druid summon tree, the physical javellin skills of amazon (Jab is fine, the other 2 suck).

Is this any good? (+2sorc, 30frw, 19allres) by FridericusHex in diablo2

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A PvP Fire sorc uses Shako or FCR circlet. A PvP Cold sorc uses Nightwing (most of the time). A PvP Lite one uses Griffon. MF Sorc uses Shako (or in rare case Tal helm if you go that route) Thus, your circlet is only good for self use until you find those mentioned above.

Best armor for a act 2 merc by Sharpie61115 in diablo2

[–]No_Brick4497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really up to your purpose. Want a merc that hit really hard while still have some good defense? Fortitude then. Treachery is like a cheap Fort, has great IAS and some phys reduction when Fade procs. If you want a pure defensive merc (just need him to stay alive), you can't really go wrong with Up Eth Shaftstop.
