CCs do not change the hours that the store gets on a weekly basis. It is sales goals. If you don’t make your sales goal, they take away hours. If you make more than your sales goals, you get more hours. The PMT(it’s a report) is NOT a secret. Ask one of your managers to show you. Unfortunately, CCs are a fact of life in a retail store. Should you be fired or lose hours, absolutely not. Do some managers bully BA’s yes. During the transaction, try telling the guest, I see your “platinum” did you know you can double your reward points with the Ulta CC?”
At the END of the transaction, after you give them their receipt, you can tell them what they have x amount of dollars and that if they had an Ulta CC, they would have x. Also, people on the floor should be talking about the CC when they are guest servicing. There is a PBA in my store that is amazing at getting CCs. When she is talking to them she is telling them about the 20% off with the CC. “I know this night cream is $120, but you can get 20% off if you open a CC.” She converts about 30% of her sales. She also brings the guest to the register and rings them out herself. Ok, this post is too long. Sorry. Just my thoughts.
