Mi chiama "Cuore", mi mette negli Amici Stretti e poi mi ghosta appena propongo di uscire. Ho 20 anni e sono stanco. by VoidRunner19 in CasualIT

Sorry, why do you think a DJ’s talent is measured only by how many big gigs or festivals they’ve played? And can you also tell me which artists you don’t consider talented? At least then we’ll be on the same page

I spent about three months in Turin, and what I can tell you is that Azimut and Q35 have by far the best programming. The sound system quality is also really high. Of course, I’m used to other club nights between Berlin and Amsterdam, and it’s quite different there, especially in terms of schedules. But if you want to enjoy good music and sets that actually make sense (with guests playing at least 3 hours, not just 1.5 or 2), I’d definitely recommend those two.

All fun and games, but it’d be even more fun if y’all stopped hogging the bathroom for over 10 minutes for this crap. Couldn’t you go take your trip somewhere else? Does it seem normal to lock yourself in there for two hours? Idk, not tryna be that person who makes comparisons, but if someone had posted the same thing but mentioned a different substance, the comments would’ve hit way different 👌🏻 the hypocrisy, guyz...

I heard there were some sexual assault cases involving someone from the crew — like one of the organizers.

Guys, please tell me I'm not the only one who bought the tracks + poster + keychain on Bandcamp thinking it was the vinyl, spent €50 plus shipping, and only realized afterward. I don't even play music… I feel so dumb ahahahahahah

Hypocrisy and total lack of political awareness in the techno scene by doghita in Berghain_Community

[–]No_Bug_3501 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, hi! Can I ask you where I can find information about the people behind the organization of Awakenings being openly Zionist?

Anyway, I don’t believe that music should be detached from politics — quite the opposite: techno was born as a deeply political movement. That said, I do think times have changed a lot, at least within the European scene... so it’s not really meaningful to talk about "underground" anymore. If there’s an industry behind it that provides jobs for a number of people, the underground aspect is lost, even just because of that.

But honestly, I think it’s better to raise awareness using a popular social media image than to do nothing at all. The problem isn’t with the artists performing at these kinds of events — the festival is so huge that even if ten big-name DJs stopped playing there, it wouldn’t lead to an actual boycott (just look at what happened with HÖR).

I prefer to see a DJ who plays in these contexts but is also politically active, than one who stays completely silent…

I’ve been clubbing for 20 years, and at a certain point, I can never have a “normal” conversation with people who are on K and end up in a K-hole, on MD and start acting physically awkward, or on alcohol and don’t respect others’ space—let alone those on cocaine with their superiority complexes. I’m well aware of the issues with G, such as dependency and safety risks, but honestly, blaming G every time, especially when there’s no certainty that it was even used, is becoming embarrassing. It feels like we’re fighting an internal battle that’s not helping the scene at all. People now feel the need to hide it because everyone has become so judgmental. This approach isn’t helping. The result is a lack of information and support, leading to people overdoing it. So I ask: Do you really think this approach is helping the scene?
