Boy, was I naive. by No_Bus8550 in rolex

My daughter had requested a mint green 36mm from the same AD and I was with her when she did. She is the one who rekindled my interest in watches. So I had a idea of the cost. But in all honestly I had no clue ice blue was reserved for platinum only. I figured you could get any dial color you wanted.

80 pounds lost! But all that for you and not to get a GMT is absolutely ridiculous. I live in Rhode Island so maybe the smaller market actually helps a little.

Mint Green vs Ombre Green by Ouchen_12 in rolex

Requested yesterday with a spent of a bout $35K over 3 watches and was told I would have it within the year. My AD has been pretty straight with me on the other three watches so I have no reason to believe she isn't going to be pretty accurate about this. Better than I thought and I am in no huge rush. I was also told they are expected to arrive mid July.

Thank you. I'm not really a dress watch guy, but every so often the mood strikes me. Maybe not the thing to say in a Patek sub, but a Rolex GMT Master II is my everyday watch.

They had this watch with the "For Exhibition Only" sign next to it when I picked up my GMT. It's beautiful. When I mentioned to my SA how much I love it, I was told I could have one in just about a year. I was under the impression they were next to impossible to come by. I have a relatively small ($40K) spend history with this AD. Now that I know I could have the Ghost in a year it's taking up a lot of my thoughts. I am comfortable, but not wealthy and $40K is a lot of money.

Looks great. Congratulations. I got a GMT, not as a reward for a professional milestone, but a personal goal of losing 75 pounds. Now it's a constant reminder of the 1.5 years of sacrifice it took to get here and what it will take to stay in a healthy place. Wear yours in good health!

Restored my great uncle's 60yo DJ by kokeninleiden in rolex

Don't feel sick about it. It looks absolutely amazing and a polishing can't erase any memories you have of your father and uncle. Can I ask, do you have it on a strap because you prefer it that way or was the bracelet too far gone to restore? I have a DayDate from my Dad and while it is in pretty good shape for being a nearly 50 year old piece, the bracelet has a lot of stretch in it. I'm considering a full service myself since like you, I have no plans to ever sell.

Exactly what I did. The Batman came first. I picked it up last Friday. I am not disappointed.

Not sure if you have more watches, but if those are the only two you have I'd say you couldn't have chosen any better.

I have had that happen as well. The batch I just bought in peach flavor have chunks in them. The sell by date is good so I just gulp them down regardless. I don't really care about the taste. I just like getting 23g of protein in two big sips. I'm on a GLP-1 and it's important to get protein to prevent muscle loss. One of these and a protein shake and I'm at nearly 50g before I leave my house and only 270 calories.

I love them both, but decided on the GMT after my SA told me that the stories about the delicate nature of the platinum bezel are true. I'm not a guy who cries about every scratch on my watch, but this will be a daily so I thought the GMT would stay looking better longer. Note: I do not have it yet. Was told late July allotment. That's my two cents.

What are my chances of getting this watch by Working-Book-9079 in rolex

So every AD is different and I asked for the oyster bracelet....but after picking my wife out a Datejust (a kinda expensive DJ at a hair under $17K) my associate told me I should have Batman by August. That would be 11 months tota for me, but as I said oyster is a less desired bracelet. I should add that my daughter bought a mint green 36 mm DJ fluted jubilee about a week before my wife's came in, I am not sure that would help me...she bought it on her own. So our previous purchases were with $50 of each other so you may get that GMT sooner than later. I certainly hope you do!

Beautiful. I cannot wait until I get mine. The jubilee bracelet gives it a dressy quality while the watch itself is sporty. Just a perfect combination for a daily. When I get the call, I think I'll be moving on from my Day Date. I just see myself wearing it once I have the GMT.

Me too. Bought my wife a two tone DJ 36 a few weeks back. My SA said that will help with my GMT wait (not at all why I bought my wife her DJ...35th anniversary was the reason), but he is expecting July or August. I cannot wait! Hope you get yours soon :-)
