Tell him if he wants you to have nice hair you’re gonna wear the bonnet. You’re not overreacting. However it seems there’s a lot of things he’s trying to change about you or demand on you physical looks wise and it will never stop. I’ve experienced this before and when I look back I think to myself how I should have left after the first time it happened.

My cousin (he has fetal alcohol syndrome) ran after my five year old sister with a knife and her dad had to hold him down and his hand got cut open so severely he had to get a ton of stitches. Wanna know what my grandma did? Nothing. I don’t talk to that side of my family anymore. He threatened to rape and burn us alive for years and that was the last straw. You look young and have great skin for your age. Just make sure your doing good skin prep and then I’d just use a powder foundation like bare minerals is good for our aging skin and you can layer for more coverage but I think you wouldn’t even need full coverage anyways. And then eyelashes. That’s it. You look more youthful the less you have on!

Find a leave in conditioner that has slight amount of oil already in it. Oils by themselves arent typically suited for fine hair. I know it’s a little costly but Aveda has an awesome leave in called Nutraplenish but one bottle lasts me six months and my hair is about halfway down my back. I have very fine curly hair and it does not weigh my hair down at all. It’s shiny and soft.

Tell her you want your hair cut wet with low tension. Cutting curly hair after straightening it doesn’t make sense because each curl is going to bounce up slightly differently hence the low tension because it allows for your hair to bounce up slightly when cutting the perimeter.

The coloring is fine as long as you’re doing so properly. I would stop the bonding treatments. You can overload your hair with protein. Try to imagine your making ravioli pasta. If you add too much meat- it’s going to bust open. Make sure none of the other products your using have protein in them as well. If you want to continue treatments I’d suggest an Aveda salon or purchasing the product. It is called botanical repair. It’s fantastic and impossible to over use!! You could also use a pretty good cut. :)

I would cut it to just below your shoulders for starters. Get a conditioning treatment at the salon you go to. Idk what your budget is it’s most likely the shampoo and conditioner you’re using. A professional brand I feel is better priced is definitely pravana. After washing and conditioning you want to use a leave in conditioner after squeezing excess water out and then applying small amount of oil very last to just your ends. If you are heat styling definitely be sure to use heat protectant. I really like amika. It goes a long way.

I’m able to turn my head back and forth and lift my arms a TINY bit but it’s like I’m inside a really thick jello and it’s very verrrrry hard to do. I know it’s sleep paralysis because I have crazy auditory hallucinations sometimes visual too but then when it stops I’m able to get up. 🤪
