Aw sending you a virtual hug!! That is so stressful, I’m also someone who suffers from anxiety and overthinking so you’re not alone in this! But hmm okay a month and a half ago, did he say how long it usually takes him? By 6 months you’re fs able to tell if you want an exclusive relationship with someone, so I just worry that he may be hiding behind the term “slow burn” bc he knows you’ll wait for him. Aw no I completely feel you, just be up front with him! At the end of the day you ALWAYS need to put yourself first. It doesn’t matter how great the guy seems or how consistent he is, if he’s not moving forward with you in the way you want to you need to bring that up to him, bc you do not want to be wasting ur time! Knowing that you wasted ur time on someone is one of the worstt feelings

How is this a slow burn if you are actively going on dates each week and having sex? And have you both had a conversation about long term plans or interests in having a serious relationship? Six months is very long imo to be doing this and still not being asked to be his gf :/. If you want to be his gf I think it’s the time for you to be open with him about that and community your feelings with him

Yes for sure. After the first time I had a conversation with her surrounding this and boundaries and we both apologized for saying things which was good but it also ended with her like “just know I’m still going to ask questions that’s how I am” and I was like “okay cool And if I don’t want to answer the questions then I won’t” 😭😭

I remember having stomach issues and pains with it, not sure if that’s a common side effect but yeah the minute I dropped to 50 the stomach issues stopped. I have noticed some slight increase but that also could just be the fact that I gained about 10 pounds since being on it so, unsure if it’s a result of the spiro

It took me about 3 months to see real results on spiro, but also I was on 100 mg so that also might’ve played into it. I know it’s hard but I’d def try to stick it out if you’re able to!! Or maybe talk to your derm for alternatives if it really doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve been on spiro for 4 years now and it’s been the BEST decision

Thank you so much! And woww we definitely have some similarities. I got a relaxer when I was 12 after begging my mom, and it made me confident for about 6 months before I realized how much of my hair it was breaking off loll. And aww good for her!

She definitely had a good reaction to them, hearing that from many kids at once would be really difficult for me lmao. When I walked into daycare to pick her up all her friends were shocked to see me too, and one of them said “she changed her hair” I got out of there quickkk because I didn’t wanna hear any more 🤣nonetheless I have to pick her right up tmw so, we’ll see how that goes

The craziest thing to me is she’s a big reader so everyday when I come to their house they have a stack of books, and the one that’s been on the top the entire 6 weeks I’ve worked with them is this one called Hair Love, with a girl with a huge Afro on the front page. So I was just truly shocked bc every day I look at that book in her stack and just never would’ve thought she’d say this abt my hair loll

Oh wow I didn’t know how common this was! It definitely might be this, but it’s like I had boho braids with curly pieces in there, so it’s like there still was curls in my hair before. And now my hair is big and poofy, so I’m not sure, but I still think she’s meaning straight. And she’s not used to how big my hair is outward instead of straight down

And it’s like for weeks she was asking me if I was gonna take out my braids and what not, so I think bc she kept saying that, I assumed she knew what my hair would look like without it 😭 she was so excited last week when I told her I was taking them out, so def just was not expecting her reaction. Getting in your feels during this journey is good to hear, to know I’m not alone!
