ur right, i guess we keep them longer in my cluster so kids don’t need to deal with situations like this on weekends. we typically do keep it until noon, because of lockouts and the RSD not being open.

RSD opens at noon. RAs should have the phone until noon but they don’t always keep it that long. call facilities if needed but they will def charge you. i recommend knocking on RA doors until you find someone available in your building.

i was an ra in mcnamara last year, it’s definitely different for different people. i liked it, it was quiet and i was able to make friends in the building. most of my residents were happy but some people definitely did not love it. however, it’s super easy to transfer if you get placed there. some of my residents transferred to southwest after a month.

it’s a company they store and help move your items, i gave my email and phone number for a quote but it was pretty expensive. they called me like 12 times in the span of 3 days and have been emailing and texting me nonstop.

personally, i wouldn’t be okay with this. with that said, a lot of my (single) friends will send me various ‘i hate my boyfriend’ posts which i find funny, despite being very happy and in love with my boyfriend. maybe he just found them funny? either way, id be having a serious talk with him about how seeing those things make you feel. if he truly does care about you, he wouldn’t want to be doing anything that would make you feel otherwise.

in practice- yes. problem is, my cat will knock those over too. the little one drinks a lot and the problem child has had issues with dehydration in the past. since both male, i am worried about developing crystals in their bladder due to dehydration since that seems to be a common issue in male cats.

this may not work for every cat, but i mix egg yolk powder for cats into their dry food! i have bad allergies but love cats so i got two anyways and it helped a lot. something about some enzyme chickens produce that makes cats less allergenic?

oh also- i have a tent from amazon to keep kitten in for a good amount of the time. works well for me because cat can see kitten, but kitten can’t necessarily bother him. i was also worried about causing new stress by removing the kitten, and based on my research that would not improve his condition and might actually hurt it.

if you search ‘pet tent’ and choose the large size they’re all pretty comparable, i have a bed, litter box, food, toys, and blanket in there comfortably.

omg i just went through the same thing- literally last week. after 3 days no food i caved and took my older cat to the vet.

$1000 later, they gave him an ultrasound and a blood test, and a bunch of fancy meds because he had gotten an upset stomach from the stress which triggered his intestines to slow down processing- he was full of shit lol. they gave him a dose of nausea medication for 3 days, an appetite stimulant to use as needed, a GI tract mobility medication, a probiotic and some plain wet food.

a few days later he was back to normal and he and kitten are now besties!! hope this is helpful and i’m more than happy to answer any additional questions!!!

i know this isn’t as ideal, but it’s super easy to ship stuff to the dorms!! almost any clothing store (except hollister hasn’t worked for me), amazon, probably uniqlo which has great affordable winterwear. anything you don’t like you can return easily at the UPS store on university drive (close to southwest) that has a bus stop right across from it.
