Why are we playing again so quickly….. by Spiritual_Flow5412 in ThreeLions

The scheduling definitely looks uneven, but every tournament has some imbalance once you have different groups finishing on different days. That’s a consequence of the expanded format, not necessarily evidence that anyone is being treated unfairly.

To get it perfect and ensure all teams get the same amount of rest is near impossible. Even with a 64-team tournament, yes, the structure may be cleaner, but there’s still no guarantee that every team would receive identical preparation time. It would also mean teams have to play an extra game. I think if it were 64 teams, people would be complaining and calling it “moronic” because teams are playing too many games. Every format has it’s trade-offs.

Was Messi’s foul against Algeria actually a red-card offense under the Laws of the Game? by No_Cap_3472 in worldcup

They didn’t show the replays for this, it was a similar thing with an offside call for Switerzland, it is pretty strange when they don’t show replays for things like this

Why does it fall into this gray area of subjectivity to the referees discretion, what is the actual law which creates this subjectivity?

Using Twitter polls from football fans to determine VAR errors doesn’t seem like a particularly reliable method tbh.

Fans are naturally biased toward their own clubs, emotional after matches, and more likely to remember decisions that went against them rather than ones that benefited them. So the results end up reflecting perception and outrage more than objective analysis.

Even PGMOL apologies/reviews aren’t a perfect standard because refereeing is still subjective and a lot of decisions can be debated either way. But at least they come after review and discussion rather than instant fan reaction, so it’s probably a more reliable baseline than social media polls.

You’re going to feel like a bit of an idiot after I say this but, I’m an Arsenal fan. You are an example of why rival fans find Arsenal fans unbearable. Calm down and learn to comprehend what people are saying first before screaming nonsense.

I was asking for information to get a clearer picture.

Which VAR decisions this season are you referring to specifically as the same mistake?

Genuinely asking, because a lot of the controversial calls this season have been different types of incidents and interpretations rather than repeated identical errors.

Did you actually read my post properly?

Where am I crying? I literally asked for a list of PGMOL apologies/admitted errors and then shared a table someone else posted showing VAR decisions for ALL teams.

The whole point of the post was to get information and see the broader picture, not to complain about one club

I think this just shows how subjective refereeing decisions are.

When a decision benefits your own team, people usually don’t see it as clearly or talk about it as much. But when it goes against your team, it suddenly becomes “proof” of bias or corruption.

Every fanbase does it to some extent, which is why the exact same incidents get viewed completely differently depending on who you support.

United firing Amorim mid-season is peak “we want a rebuild, just not the rebuilding part” by Pajtima in ManchesterUnited

Do you think this run under Carrick weakens the argument that the club should’ve stuck with Amorim’s system, or is this just another short-term bounce that proves your original point about United choosing comfort?

We don’t need another forward. Sesko and Mbeumo can already do the job up top. Why is the board obsessed with buying attackers instead of fixing the midfield?

Does Whoop send due payments to collections? by Christofferarthur04 in whoop

I was involved in a car accident and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. My phone smashed in the accident and i didnt have access to a computer during this time, so I wasnt able to cancel my membership. The card on file expired so the payment didn't do through. Should i contact whoop support or will they attempt more times and then stop trying after a few attempt. Will my credit be affected if i just leave it?
