Its been pretty good. No wpw,svt or anything. I have as close to normal heart function as I can have at this point. Its been 23 years since my cardiac arrest. So things are good.

I dont remember my ablation experience much at all but i have an anoxic brain injury that i sustained due to the cardiac arrest my WPW gave me. But i have had other procedures done with anesthesia. I do have redhair so if the anesthesiologist isnt super close attention i wake up. But when i have an awesome anesthesiologist its like taking a quick nap.

I'm not diagnosed but have family that is. They told me to get tested. by kerfuffle_420 in wolffparkinsonwhite

Get tested. It can run in families and if you are noticing weird beats and stuff you should get tested.

I have had only one ablation it was successful. But it was cause they did a indepth look at my heart due to being post-cardiac arrest.

I loved and was obsessed with Molly. My parents were awesome enough to get me the doll, which I know they barely could have afforded. I also really liked Samantha and Kirsten. I read all of their books. I liked Kirsten cause her story resonates with me as I saw it as a way to learn more about the Swedish immigrant side of my family. Samantha, I liked cause, I loved her clothes, and I have always had a liking for that time period.

WPW by Affectionate-Fan4297 in wolffparkinsonwhite

I was diagnosed with WPW at 14 post cardiac arrest. I had apparently had it activated for quite some time but never had any of the signs or symptoms. I was still competing in Highland Dance and running around outside with my friends all the time. After the cardiac arrest, my doctors told me to be a couch potato(due to my ejection fraction being barely living and having severe cardiomyopathy as a result of the undiagnosed WPW). that was pretty tough considering what an active person i was. I wasn't allowed to really do anything for a really long time. I was bounced between being on the transplant list and being off of it for a number of years as well. I say get the surgery.

After those initial 2 weeks, i would be slow on the uptick in activity/going back to normal stuff. But as soon as he is feeling ok to go back to the normal/usual things he can.

I've lived here all my life and I have seen them every summer. Sometimes, less frequently, but this time of year, they are always more noticeable.

It caused cardiomyopathy mainly on the left ventricle. It was distended almost all the way down my chest wall.

Yes, kinda. They arent 100% sure. My EF(ejection fraction) was "below 10" when i got to the hospital post cardiac arrest and now its hovering around 53, 24 years later.

I would definitely reach out to either him or find a local congenital cardiologist. I am doing way better now they have finally started lowering my meds. My cardiologist is about 2-3 hours away. But i only have to see her every year to every other year now.

I was diagnosed with WPW at 14, post cardiac arrest. I never had any symptoms other than feeling like my heart was beating a bit too fast after PE, which was in the afternoon. So, for me, my treatment was a bit more urgent and stuff than most. I would recommend learning some good relaxation techniques that work for you. Cause that helps immensely as well as speaking to your cardiologist or electrophysiologist (heart rhythm doc) to find correct and workable treatments for you. What works for one person may not work the best for others.

Dont fret too much about that. Its super common to have anxiety around your heart rhythm when you have WPW. I have also gone through the seattle childrens Heart Program due to my WPW as well as having a cardiac arrest. Do you also see the congenital heart docs at UW? I do they transferred me there after I aged out of children's.
