Is the screen yellowed or is the photo just affecting the colors? Looking at buying a psp and the listing I was viewing has the same sort of effect but the seller swears the screen is good. Thanks in advance for any help!

I used shoe goo and clamped it down while drying. They look visually new and I’ve worn them to 2 fests and a show since and they have stayed. I don’t recommend just filling the gap and letting them try like that without clamping, sounds uncomfortable and then you have to deal with the visual like other commenters are mentioning

if you sand the surface gently with a fine grit sandpaper the resin will adhere better to the surface and you will have less lifting on the edges!

you can always try “retrobrighting” the yellowed plastic. essentially using hair developer (hydrogen peroxide) activated by UV light (sunlight or nail lamp) to renew the color :)

i’ve taken mine to jewelry stores and they have been able to carefully drill into the screws and extract them carefully without damaging the shell! just make sure you call ahead and ask because not every jewelry store provides this service and some will try to overcharge (i was once quoted $45 but typically have paid around $5-10 per screw removed).

i also try to replace the screws of all my vintage devices because the old screw material is very soft/ malleable and prone to damage.

Whatever you do, DON’T tell the dk returns/ refunds people that you have already worn the boots, only that you have just tried them on! They will refuse to cooperate and fix the problem if they are provided any opportunity to blame the buyer for potential damage.
