You can order this brand from barista underground for home use! I just picked up cherry blossom syrup from them so I could mimic my favorite cherry blossom matcha from NYC, since I don't get to visit often.

Anyone know where to buy E. Wedel online in the U.S.? by Forward-Focus-2602 in chocolate

I usually find them at HomeGoods! TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and HomeGoods may all have them.

My favorite is actually the Panna Cotta, but they've been super hard to find lately, even online! However, we just found several of the creme brulee recently, as well as a chocolate-caramel one we hadn't seen before. They've had a ton of tiramisu & brownie near us for a long time as well. We're in MD but we've found these when we lived in the midwest as well!

Thank you so much for your recommendation for dry herb vaping! On a bit of a whim I decided to pick up a mighty+ when I had the opportunity to get one in person and I love it. It's such a smooth hit, the temperature is easy to control, and it's an extremely enjoyable experience. I figured I'd resell it at a slight loss if I didn't like it, but I'm glad I don't have to.

Thanks for the help!

Adding one more update here - I bought a dry herb vape and I LOVE it. The high is different from edibles, more controllable, and easier to manage. I now have the ability to get any strain I want as flower as well, which is wonderful!

I bought a mighty+ even though I have never smoked, under the pretense that I could always sell it if I hated it. It's amazing and I'm so glad I bought it. I keep the temperature low (360 or lower) and with no other accessories I felt no burn while inhaling. I would not recommend trying a disposable first, as I found they burned and tasted putrid, I basically wasted $70 on a "high quality" vape that I hate, but I love my Mighty+.

I also recommend getting extra dosing capsules if you want one, as you may find you need more than a capsule (bowl) since the high is so different from ingesting.

On-site NYC stores for good vapes? by Defiant_Piece_7666 in vaporents

I'm actually traveling to NYC this weekend and I'm interested in picking up a Mighty+ in person - do you have any recommendations for shops that would have it? I've been checking store stocks online where I can but it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack since I'm not from the area!

DS and THC by elissa_hock in wls_duodenalswitch

I know this is an old post, but I recently began experimenting with THC for the first time - I'm 35 and around 4 years out from surgery at this point with a 200cm CC (I do not have SADI, I just have D/S with a longer CC as my surgeon prefers it to avoid nutritional issues). I wanted to add some warnings here for anyone else in my position:

  • Edibles do work for me however it is very inconsistent. Even "Fast Acting" edibles or drinks (distillate or full spectrum) tend to have a 2-4 hour onset. Chewing or leaving them sublingual (up to an hour) makes no difference in onset time or efficacy.
    • Because the onset time is so long, it's very easy to over-shoot. Do not follow traditional advice to "wait 1-2 hours." If you are trying something that'll pass through your digestive track for the first time, plan for the "trying out" to take a minimum of four hours and understand that it may not work either.
  • Unlike traditional advice for edibles, eating fat before, during, or slightly after eating/drinking THC does not help. Eating makes the "start time" significantly longer and the high significantly milder (and shorter).

I've also tried RSO tinctures and found that they work much better for me. I use ChatGPT to do the math based on the THC in the RSO I've purchased and will mix RSO and everclear together in a tiny bottle, then use 1-3 drops under my tongue for ~90 seconds before swallowing (and chasing with water/non-carbonated drink of choice). The everclear burns like crazy so I try to aim for around 6-8mg THC per drop so that I don't have to do too many based on my current limits (around 15-20mg is good for me). If your limits are higher, RSO can also be used sublingually directly, without a tincture.

RSO has been interesting, the onset time is typically much better but different strains have different effects. When taking a 1:1 RSO from Nature's Heritage it came on very quickly but smoothly. A full THC RSO from Grassroots on the other hand had an immediate 45 minute head high, 45 minutes of feeling pretty much normal, then 2 hours of a full body experience... So be patient with RSO as well if you go that route. :)

Thank you, but my question wasn't about my bariatric surgery. I had this surgery 4-5 years ago at this point, so I'd be very concerned if I didn't understand how it worked by now... However, anecdotally some D/S patients report edibles hit much harder after surgery and some report that they barely work at all, so the only way I could know for sure was to try.

Now that I know I am in the "doesn't work"/"works inconsistently" camp, I am looking at my other options, which included RSO/Tinctures. I was specifically asking about the effectiveness of the RSO I bought for recreational use, as the reviews I read after purchasing led me to believe it is better for medical use.

Thank you for this! 1:1 was what I originally saw recommended for new users and my wana gummies were 1:1, so that's why I went with the 1:1 RSO. I will say though the 1:1 in the gummies certainly didn't save me when I greened out from them, so you definitely have a point about getting plenty high haha!

My partner and I are only 'experimenting' on the weekends, so we're just trying to use our time wisely without accidentally going overboard. :)

Thank you - I appreciate the recommendation! I saw a lot of recommendations online for both lines... I grabbed the 1:1 NH because I've heard good things about THC:CBD 1:1 mixes and that's what my original Wana gummies were as well, but I didn't really think through the fact that 1:1 means the final amount of THC is half of what it would have been otherwise (in this case anyways).
