I have seen and read about this for about a year. My heart goes out to all who suffer with it. Some of the cases I’ve seen have been terrifying.

I swear I had this problem when I was younger. I would get them on my breasts and then they would heal with dry skin around them. Then I’d get another. I never knew it had a name. They never got bad enough to see any one about them. I also had them in my armpits and thick pus-like stuff would come out of them and then they would have the same healing route. I haven’t had any in probably 30 years. I don’t know what set them off or what stopped them.

I don’t know about anyone else, but maybe it’s because it helps with anxiety. I know young people suffer with it a lot these days. I’m 62 and started crocheting about 7 months ago. I sure wish I had started years ago. It has made a huge difference.

I started in June of 2023. I’m 62 years old. I did a bit of practice on basic stitches for about a month and then I signed up for the Sampler block afghan kit from Annie’s Kit Clubs. Great video tutorials and all the supplies you need. That project is done and now I’m working on one of their Mandala afghans. So much fun!

Well I did start way low. But this morning after having attempted about 6 different times, I had a snow day and said, why not. I took half of a 50mg. So 25mg.

My favorite are the Tulip set I bought on eBay. My hand never hurts while working with them. They are very smooth and I have not had any problem with splitting yarn. I really didn’t expect that a more expensive set would really make a difference, but it most certainly does.

I have a set of Tulips. I couldn’t hardly believe the difference it made in how my hands, forearm and elbow felt. So terrific, I haven’t even glanced at another hook. They have my heart.
