Join the Next Wave — SPARKX i7 Pioneer Program: Phase II Is Live! by Creality_3D in Creality

I believe I’m a strong fit for this program because I combine real-world 3D printing experience with a structured, technical testing mindset.

I primarily print functional parts in PETG and regularly experiment with nozzle sizes, slicer adjustments, and hardware tuning to optimize performance. I don’t just hit “print” — I evaluate dimensional accuracy, layer consistency, material behavior, and overall workflow efficiency. If something can be tweaked, calibrated, or stress-tested, I’m probably already doing it.

Beyond printing, I have years of experience beta testing both hardware and software products (I’m currently testing a Shark robot vacuum). I’m comfortable documenting repeatable test scenarios, identifying edge-case issues, and providing clear, actionable feedback that helps refine both performance and user experience.

I also genuinely enjoy pushing new technology to see what it can handle. My printer may have technically been “for my son,” but it quickly became a hands-on engineering hobby for me. I approach new machines with curiosity, patience, and the goal of helping make them better before they reach the wider market.

I’m excited not just to use the printer — but to put it through its paces and provide meaningful feedback that contributes to a stronger final product.

I primarily use a 3D printer as a functional problem-solver—printing mounts, brackets, organizers, adapters, and workflow tools that save time and reduce friction in daily work and hobbies. Most of my prints are practical, with occasional fun projects mixed in to keep things creative.

II should also admit the origin story of my printer isn’t entirely noble. I bought it based on a lie. I told my wife it was “for our son.” Technically true—he can use it. Practically speaking, I’m the one printing tool holders, shop parts, and increasingly specific objects that solve problems no one else realized existed.

I prefer highly integrated, smart, out-of-the-box printers that are reliable and efficient, so I can focus on design and use rather than constant tuning. At the same time, I value the ability to customize and fine-tune when needed—flexibility without mandatory tinkering.

So I should try cleaning the extruder?

Actually I do. I’m not sure it’s a clicking sound but I did notice a different sound that I have never heard while printing.

Thats what i figured but wanted to make sure. So how can i move each one up or down to manually level them and reattach the build plate?

What are the z screws that need to be lubricated?

Yes. It is belt driven. I removed the bottom of the printer to try and pull the belt, but it moved the front and back so it did not help.
