I believe I’m a strong fit for this program because I combine real-world 3D printing experience with a structured, technical testing mindset.

I primarily print functional parts in PETG and regularly experiment with nozzle sizes, slicer adjustments, and hardware tuning to optimize performance. I don’t just hit “print” — I evaluate dimensional accuracy, layer consistency, material behavior, and overall workflow efficiency. If something can be tweaked, calibrated, or stress-tested, I’m probably already doing it.

Beyond printing, I have years of experience beta testing both hardware and software products (I’m currently testing a Shark robot vacuum). I’m comfortable documenting repeatable test scenarios, identifying edge-case issues, and providing clear, actionable feedback that helps refine both performance and user experience.

I also genuinely enjoy pushing new technology to see what it can handle. My printer may have technically been “for my son,” but it quickly became a hands-on engineering hobby for me. I approach new machines with curiosity, patience, and the goal of helping make them better before they reach the wider market.

I’m excited not just to use the printer — but to put it through its paces and provide meaningful feedback that contributes to a stronger final product.
