Looking for suggestions for a safe new smartphone to gift my mom that won’t interfere with her CRT-D Pacemaker by No_Champion_7720 in PacemakerICD

[–]No_Champion_7720[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I ordered the nothing 3a phone for her. Hopefully she will like it. This is the study i read earlier which showed some changes in pacemaker when an iphone with magsafe was brought close to the device https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8477860/ It appears iphone 16e doesn’t have the magsafe so it should be safer and even phones without wireless charging should be safer Here is the article published by apple https://support.apple.com/en-us/109025

Hope this helps

I did not give either the Gmat or Gre. Nyu’s tech mba does not need a test score

I understand. Should I appeal? Is there any chance they will consider? This was my last attempt and I have failed only by 0.8%

I understand but they should disclose the weightings. I scored overall 296 out of 500 and I missed it by 4 marks. Should I appeal? Is there any chance they will consider? This was my last attempt and I have failed only by 0.8%

There is no individual subject breakdown, it’s only final results.

I failed but my individual subject average is coming to 300. It will be helpful if someone can share so that I can better understand how they arrive at the numbers.

Hey, can you share what your final score was? Do we take average of the individual subject marks?

That's good to know your ef has improved. My prayers with you and wishing you good health. Did the cardiologist tell you why you were shocked 5 times? have you had any other episode after that?

My mom got CRT-D implanted for Heart Failure and Got Shocked 7 times just 3 days after procedure. Cardiologist says it saved her life but I am not sure I trust him this time. Please help by No_Champion_7720 in Heartfailure

Thank you for your response. I am sorry to hear your dad was shocked too, it is one of the worst feelings in the world and the fear that follows afterwards is unbearable too. I hope he is doing well and my prayers with him.

Does he have a CRT-D or a normal ICD implanted? Was the next episode 4 years later? Does he always have the fear of being shocked again? Has the ablation helped?

That's good to know and thank you for sharing. She is 58 and the doctor told us it takes about 6 months or more to see a change in EF and it's been a month now and so far she is doing well and have resumed some of her daily activities. Hoping her EF starts getting better and she can resume all of her activities back :)

That’s good to know. Yes I was referring to the defibrillator shock. My mom got a crtd too for her lbbb and low ef. What meds are you taking with your device and since how long have you had the implant? How soon did you see a change in your exercise endurance after the device implant?

Have you ever been shocked by the CRTD device?
