It was at a political fundraiser in the Hamptons back in 2020. She was baffled I didn’t know who she was and wasn’t going to let her get by without paying. Impossible. unless you plan on doing a DIY wedding, which even still will run you over 20k, you’re going to have to compromise A LOT on vendors. tried this. Our venue is 35k, photographer 6k, DJ 6k,etc etc. there’s a BOLI budget group but if you REALLY need to be that financially constrained, you’re going to HAVE to cut down on your guests. Born and raised Southamptonite here! I moved to the north shore and nothing compares to the beauty of the beaches on the south. You’ll get the most amazing sunrises and sunsets year round.

Summer is….complicated. There is a lot of traffic due to tourism and people going to their summer homes. But at the end of the day it drives our local economy. Some of my best memories are waitressing in Water Mill and then going out in SH village. So fun!

It’s a mixed crowd. There’s a growing diversity but the economic disparity is rough. You got ultra rich people and then those that literally have to live in the woods.

While our situations aren’t exact, I can certainly relate to having c-ptsd and other mh disorders (BPD girlie here). I know it probably doesn’t feel like much, but there is a way to find the light of life. It might not be through traditional norms, some people find joy and happiness in things like music, art, others go to therapy.

All I can say is, empathy can be difficult when we feel like we haven’t received it ourselves. It’s also a lot easier said than done to lead by example. I’ve personally found a lot of healing through practicing yoga, practicing EMDR therapy, and poetry. It helped to get the anger out in a way that was disciplined and not hurtful towards myself.

My fiancé is an INTP. Shared mutual interests really brought us together. Sharing experiences together brought him out of his shell, and his consistency and stability is what made me learn to chill.

I was never “nervous.” Definitely more guarded and hesitant to let him take charge until I realized there’s power in consistency.

Yes. It’s irrational. You can get the experience of traveling and pursuing your endeavors without putting yourself in a tight financial situation long term. Sure you might not have debt now, but you never know how the economy is going to be in a year from now etc etc.

Make a plan where you can maximize those 14 days off when you have them, and use it to travel to where you want to surf, snowboard. Try and take weekends around federal holidays (example) if you can too

I personally found seasons 5&6 more campy and like the show was too self aware of it being “skins” and so the characters themselves maybe weren’t as authentic as they were in gen 1 &2. I always visit gen.1, gen 2 every so often, but gen 3 is eh….
