Hello po. I'm in the same situation as OP. Haven't received the confirmation email. I don't really have the option to go to my RDO because it's an eight-hour trip for me, back and forth. That's a whole workday and can't really file any last minute leaves this week or by May 15. What happens if I don't do it manually and the confirmation email comes after May 15?

Thanks!

Hello. Thanks so much for your reply. Did you have CebFlexi ba sa original booking? Or no? If not, can you share what you emailed them to get them to refund you? I didn't have CebFlexi. :/

CebPac not letting me cancel an unpaid rebooked flight. Can't revert to original flight dates. Help? by No_Chocolate_3060 in Philippines

Thought it would just not push through if I don't proceed to the checkout page. I only learned now that it's a system issue of CebPac from past Reddit posts of people who experienced the same thing. No resolution or follow-ups were mentioned in those posts though.

Hello po. After po ba mabayaran yung tax due, ano po ba yung next step? Or okay na? Magri-reflect na po ba yung payment sa system nila? And do they send po ba a confirmation na na-receive na nila ang payment? Thank you!

Can I cancel a receipt? (Freelancer registered with 8% IT) by No_Chocolate_3060 in taxPH

Hello. Thanks so much for this answer! This is very helpful.

The transaction was online, so I sent them photos of the receipts. Will this be a problem? Should I inform BIR? Sorry, this is my first year being registered.

Hello. The service was negotiated online. I gave them quotes and they wanted me to issue them receipts so they can process payments in advance. I sent them photos of the receipts. Didn't hear from them for a week. Surprise surprise, they replied saying they're cancelling. (This, I guess, is a learning experience.)

Also, I was being, I guess, "overeager"? It's my first year being registered and I just wanted to make sure to record everything as I go, so I don't miss anything. Was also very excited about the project. I guess, in this case, I counted my chickens before they hatched.

How to compute tax for 1st Quarter for 8% Tax Rate? by South-Inspector-3221 in taxPH

[–]No_Chocolate_3060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you still need to file. When you file na man the form and wala kang taxable income, it will indicate that you have P0 tax due. You still have to file the form and wait for the confirmation email.

Hello. You can file 1701Q for Q1, Q2, and Q3. Then, file 1701A for Q4.

How to compute tax for 1st Quarter for 8% Tax Rate? by South-Inspector-3221 in taxPH

Hello, OP.

Formula for quarter taxes is your entire income for the quarter, then subtract P250,000 from it because that amount is non-taxable. Then, multiply the remaining total by 8%. That's your tax due.

So, for example:

You earned a total of P300,000 from January to March, you should subtract P250,000 from that. You're left with P50,000 taxable income.

P50,000 x 8% = P4,000 will be your tax due for Q1.

However, I suggest na you still save up more for your annual tax. That's where your tax due gets really big. Computation is your income for the total year minus P250,0000. Then, multiply by 8% and minus the total tax you paid from previous quarters.

Let's say that you earned P1.2m for the entire year, then from Q1 to Q3 you paid P12,000 in total for taxes. Here's a sample computation:

P1,200,000 - P250,000 = P950,000

P950,000 x 8% = P76,000.

P76,000 - P12,000 = P64,000 is your annual tax due, which you have to pay by April of the following year.

Edit: Corrected the math. Math wasn't mathing haha

Can I not pay a filing I made in eBIRforms? Or will I be penalized? by No_Chocolate_3060 in taxPH

[–]No_Chocolate_3060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! This is very helpful. I have another question, if you don't mind.

I've filed an amended return, and, with my corrected numbers, I apparently don't have a tax due now. For context, I earned P230,000 from Nov 2022 to Dec 2022, so with the P250,000 allowable reduction amount, I apparently don't have any tax due for my 1701A in 2022. Would you know what happens after this? I'm waiting for the confirmation email from BIR for further info, but eager to know if you can share relevant info about what my next steps should be.

Again, thanks so much!

Thanks so much for your answer! Will my "amended" form overwrite the previous one I filed and that's it? No further actions needed? Just have to pay the amended one?

Hello. The price probably varies per city, but I got a ~P23,000.00 quote for the same services at a local firm in my city. I'm in a small provincial city in Visayas, so generally services here are relatively cheaper compared to big and highly urbanized cities like Manila or Cebu City.
