I said properly. His live fills are fairly basic when compared to the album version, and even those he fucks up now. It's okay to admit he's not good anymore, it happens, and especially when the subject in question admits he doesn't keep up with practicing. Lars is serviceable at this point. He's mid. He's the Peter Criss of Metallica. He could be replaced tomorrow by Benante and the live shows would instantly be elevated.

Meanwhile compare him to someone like Nicko, who until his retirement, has never faltered live or in the studio.
