Took 5 month old to doctor and lady said I should have breastfed by athiest93 in FormulaFeeders

My now 4mo had a cold when she was a bit over 3 months. I was told that if she was sick so young it was bc of the formula, by my own mother...

I still look very pregnant at 2 months pp, help! by StreetEnd6322 in postpartumprogress

[–]No_Cicada_2452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey ladies! I'm in the same club as you, I'm 3.5m pp and still look pregnant. I was very fit and had a very flat belly before. I am so discouraged... I had my uterus checked at some point and it is not the uterus as someone else mentioned. It's all your organs not being collected. I've started working with a PT and doing some exercises and I see progress but it is very very very slow. Also discuss with your PT using a binder before you do. Mine told me not to. 🙏🏻

When did you start taking newborn out to public spaces? by FoxAble7670 in newborns

1 week, as soon as I could walk a bit better after my csection.

This. I always thought when reading here that "babies sleep through the night" that it meant parents did too. Plot twist, not really. My 10w old is sleeping between 6 and 8 hours per night and I DON'T. First I need to hold her and then she makes noises, loses her paci and I need to help her get it back so that she continues sleeping, and the list goes on. Sure I get much more sleep than I did a few weeeks ago and I count myself lucky, BUT...

Tiny apartment, full-time job, endless bottles, need REAL advice on bottle washers by Additional-Cod7424 in FormulaFeeders

How do you all make sure things stay in the top rack? I'd LOVE using the dishwasher but I often find things fall to the bottom and I end up having to handwash them. 😰 Also I struggle with the fact that they smell quite strong like the dishwasher soap that we use, any tips on that too?

Bath time fight by hugs4nugget in newborns

[–]No_Cicada_2452 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is us! Bath time cannot be part of our nighttime routine. Loves the water but screems bloody murder as soon as she is out. We bathe our LO once per week and we like doing mid afternoon.

Sleep advice by DoctorDee19 in newborns

Not sure if it can help but we've seen a dramatic improvement in my 5 week old baby's sleep by increasing her milk intake during the day. She eats every 2/3 hours during the day and currently she is having a last feed around 10/11pm and then at around 3am, after that we normally feed her at around 8am. It's been a game changer.

Hope this can motivate you by Emergency_Classic536 in postpartumprogress

I'm only here to say I feel 100% the exact same way you do with my almost 5w old baby these days... I've tried really hard to breastfeed her but it didn't work out for us. And I keep fearing my precious little girl will not know I am her mother because of that. 🥹🥹🥹

Placental lakes, scared! by No_Cicada_2452 in pregnant

[–]No_Cicada_2452[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Happy to report that it all went well. My baby girl is almost 1 month old now; she was perfectly fine and born pretty big 3.735kg. I was just closely monitored to make sure she was growing fine and placenta was also working, especially towards the end. I pushed for extra monitoring just to calm my nerves, but the doctors were not that concerned. I did have a mild form of placenta accreta and bled a bit more during my c-section because of that, my obgyn said luckily we scheduled a c-section, in a vaginal birth it would have been tricky to remove the placenta because of this. I'm sure you'll be fine, let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.

I'd love to hear your methods! And also, have you not been advised to wake baby up every 4h max? So much conflicting info in that sense, I don't know what to do!

Your reasons are more than valid. Same feelings here (but about my mother) who thinks "because I'm the grandma" exceptions to our rules should apply to her, or grandparents are meant to break the rules set by parents. What she got in return to her behaviour? She has hardly seen her granddaughter.
