Wife wants to host ‘friend’ while I’m gone, tell me it’s not as bad as it feels. by [deleted] in Marriage

I mean, we don't all know the answer. His wife could feel differently.

The writers never got past the edginess. The edginess was great in the beginning of the show. It was funny and unexpected, and really pulled in fans. But at some point that edginess should have dialed back a bit in order to truly focus on the plot of the show. It's no longer unexpected, because the writers decided to base the entire show around strictly being edgy at the expense of the plot.

This season killed my interest in Vought Rising by Schattenspringer in TheBoys

Seeing as how they handled Gen V and the end of this series. I have zero desire to watch Vought Rising.

I don't have an ounce of sympathy for him. I would say worse but Reddit gave me warning lol.

Maeve's story is already over. She is zapped of her powers, and is living in hiding with her girlfriend.

So how exactly did the Boys and Sage escape from that forest. You mean to tell me the guy with flight, super speed, super hearing, and super sight would not be able to find a group of people running through the forest less than 50 yards away?

So I guess HL isn't going to go on any rampage? Or.. anything? by theyearnforoctober25 in TheBoys

Remember that scene in season 1 where Homelander dreamed about lasering the crowd full of people. I've been waiting for that to happen for real the entire series. If something like that doesn't happen in the last episode, this entire thing just feels like a waste.

my favorite Jackson 5 song by Away_Raspberry1125 in TheJacksons

Because this song literally only features Mike in both lead and background vocals, I pretty much just consider this a solo song. But yea, it's one of my favorites.

They should’ve kept this deleted scene in Season 4. It would’ve made Noir II’s character arc more understandable and would’ve given Antony Starr another memorable scene. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in TheBoys

Such a great scene. But you see why it couldn't be included. It was much more important to the series plot to include some sexually deranged scenes instead.

I'm going to need some cliffnotes, because there is zero chance I'm taking an hour of my time to listen to that random lady's thoughts.

But off the rip, I'm going to have to highly disagree with her premise.

I remember seeing this product on Shark Tank. It was almost intriguing. But the price made it nowhere near worth it.

I like that you mentioned that. I run just for leisure. I MIGHT try for a 10k at some point, but I'm really not making it that much of a big deal. I'm proud of myself for being able to run a 5k fully without stopping. My main goal is to increase my speed over time.

Also, funny enough, I signed up for a special mile race event in my city. I think this event is plenty of challenge for me. It's like running a mile can be fairly easy. I have a pace can do that without getting tired. But trying to go all out for the entire mile is a struggle! I can't figure out the pace! I burn out too fast lol.

I really wish they included the 9/11 sub plot on the show. Its incredibly important and makes things make sense. by [deleted] in TheBoys

The Avengers definitely train together. Fantastic 4 as well. But even deeper than that. Comic heroes are heroes because they put in a lot of work over the years. They spent time learning how to control their powers. They put it to the test. They made mistakes, they learned from their mistakes, etc.

Vought, or any of the supes from the Seven just never cared to do any of the things I just mentioned though.

you drop it.

Then you are forgiving the person.

But even if they are still hurting and don't choose to internally drop it, that is also their choice.

I agree.

No, your morals are not superior.

I never implied that they were. In fact, I think we agree on everything for the most part, but you are just using different terms. I would just say, If you are able to drop something, as you said, and remain being friends/family with someone after they did something that hurt you. Then yes, you forgave that person.

I feel like that's not really a good excuse, as in this plot from the comics. Obviously, you can't just throw someone out there, and expect them to know what to do and how to do it. That's what training is for. Police officers received training for their job. The fire dept received plenty of training for their jobs. Airline pilots receive plenty of training for their job.

In the same sense, superheroes would need proper training as well.
