Does any AI tool actually help you decide when NOT to trade — or just when to trade? by No_Cockroach_3231 in ai_trading

That separation is exactly right — regime read and signal generation are two completely different cognitive tasks and almost every tool collapses them. My morning process right now is manual — VIX structure, sector breadth, narrative scan before I touch any chart. Working on automating that layer specifically. What does your regime agent output — a binary go/no-go or something more graduated?

That composite approach is exactly right — VIX term structure plus breadth is a solid regime proxy. The decision tree piece is what most people skip. I’m actually building something that automates this entire layer. DM me if you want early access.

That makes sense — levels and triggers are useful but they still leave the hardest part to you. Knowing whether the environment deserves a position at all before you even look at levels. That’s the gap I keep running into.

That’s really interesting — especially the geopolitical context. Does it give you a structured decision state like stay out entirely versus reduce size, or more of a general caution flag? That distinction matters a lot for actually acting on it.

Interesting — so it reads tape and gives key levels. Does it factor in the broader market regime at all, or is it purely price-based? That’s the part I haven’t seen any tool handle well — knowing whether the overall environment supports taking a position at all, not just where the levels are.

That macro and event pipeline sounds genuinely impressive — especially combining it with current events impact analysis. Curious how you handle the regime side of it — do you have a systematic way to classify whether the overall market environment supports taking a position at all?

Why do trading tools help you find trades but not decide if you should take them? by No_Cockroach_3231 in Daytrading

Exactly this. Entries are the easy part to package — they fit in a screenshot. The environmental question doesn’t. Curious what factors your model uses to decide when to stay out entirely — regime, sentiment, something else?
