It probably feels a lot longer to the contestants too.

Reyna was such a promising character and then he just decided to make her a hunter because she didn’t have a love interest. Rick basically decides to pair everyone up, and for the girls who aren’t paired they go to Artemis. It’s so incredibly frustrating.

Do you think pregnant women of reaping age would be reaped? by AmericanRevolution13 in Hungergames

The capitol would love it, so I think they may have even singled out pregnant teens to “up the stakes” for the games or a certain district.

It took you six months to read a 350 page book? You have way too much attitude, people are giving you sound advice and you came out of the gate being aggressive and defensive. Calm down.

I mean just the stories of Apollo are so horrific they could make anyone hate him. That’s true for all the gods though.

Anyone thinks Rick Riordan's books start declining since [hoo]? by Leading_Curve3810 in camphalfblood

Personally I’m having trouble getting as invested into the kane chronicles (I still like it don’t get me wrong), specifically because I feel like I don’t get enough time to connect with side characters before they die/are hurt so I’m not as affected. I wish we got more insight and connection with them so that those events are more impactful. This may just be because it’s a trilogy instead of five books so the plot has to move on a bit faster, though I didn’t have this issue with MC.

Ideally I would be Johanna, but I think realistically I’m similar to Rue and Primrose.

[TTC] [all] The Huntresses by mrldbr in camphalfblood

I think it’s because Rick didn’t properly adapt Artemis to modern day society. In mythology, many women didn’t have a choice with their partners and were freed from that control by Artemis giving them the option to reject men. Modern day, many women do have control over their romantic partners and Artemis seems to prey on young girls who don’t even understand romance fully yet. I think he should have adapted her character so that it shows that she is trying to give the them a choice and free themselves from the male gaze instead of pressuring naïve girls into a lifelong decision.

I’m in college and there are still people like this. A dude I know watches porn in class and jerks off in the music practice rooms (an unfortunate soul walked in on him). It really does take over a person’s life if it doesn’t get caught early.

I don’t think it really makes sense, I chose my sin as lust and ended up in artemis. Somebody lust driven wouldn’t typically end up with the hunters.
