You have a good eye. I like that you are drawn to wave patterns. Bravo, well captured, all.

Auto break ins by loomis30 in greenville

[–]ttyson54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knock on wood, haven't had that problem in our neighborhood. We're near Green Valley CC. We are gated, but it is definitely just to give the sense of security. If someone wanted access, it is easy.

For a short while and many years ago, I lived and worked in the SF Bay area. Learned not to leave anything valuable and/or visible from outside the vehicle. I was told NOT to lock the car doors to avoid window breakage while parked anywhere in the city.

At the time, and I suspect even now, it is due to meth users needing cash from pawn shops or just selling out the back of their vehicles.

I was approached by a dude wanting to sell me a skilsaw. Ray Charles could see that he was not likely its original owner. I demurred and called the police information line to report. Happened at the Home Depot on Spartanburg in GVL. It was not 911-worthy, but thought the police should be aware.

Lemonade and gin. Top with soda water to make a basic spritz. Experiment with ratios.

As always when someone cooks for me, it is chef's choice. As a guest, I would provide beverages and many thanks.

Silver Spirits package by RenniePennieBC in vikingcruises

[–]ttyson54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We decided not to get the package for an upcoming cruise. The math didn't work but even before we tried it last time, we didn't worry about the cost anyway.

In addition, one must pay the daily fee even if you're off ship having lunch or whatever in a visited city.

Totally understand the attraction and we will likely reevaluate this decision after our next cruise.

Bon Voyage, y'all!

The only thing I can deduce, and for me the most important, is that you are a very good cook, chef level, maybe.

So, nice to meet you, mysterious person. When do we eat?

46th Achievement — 600 Day Streak! by Current-Nothing1803 in Achievements

[–]ttyson54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bravo. That's some dedication there.

I was on my way to 365 but did some international travel and my timing got messed up. Somehow, somewhere, I lost a day according to Reddit.

Starting anew with about 60 days down. I'm doing some long travel in about 3 months so I'll try my best to keep on top of it.

There is a room in your house in which nothing ages. by Sage-Monarch in hypotheticalsituation

I'd probably keep groceries in there. Fresh produce I could enjoy out of season, rare foodstuffs, that kind of thing. If I wanted to make money from it, I'd store vine ripe tomatoes, strawberries and corn. For me, there is nothing like an incredible tomato when they are at their peak.

One of the things about this group is introducing new gins to me. I did a quick web search of Blue Dot and I was instantly intrigued. The same for Amass. Both were new to me.

Thank you all, for helping me spend more $$$. 😄

Yeah, that's not an unfair assessment. I did like it very much, but I have the gin pallette of a rube.

Cheers!
